Description
RPS Wager
Rock Paper Scissors with anyone you can whisper — for bragging rights or for gold.
Right-click a player, challenge them, and settle it the old-fashioned way: big icons, a 3-2-1 countdown, screen flashes, sounds, and the result announced in chat. Keep rematching until someone gives up, or put gold on it and go double or nothing.
Both players need RPS Wager installed.
Features
Challenge anyone
- Right-click a player (target, party, raid or focus frame) and pick Rock Paper Scissors.
- Works with anyone you can whisper: same faction, online.
- They get an Accept / Decline popup. Everything runs over hidden addon whispers, so no chat spam while you play.
A proper showdown
- A small, movable control panel holds your three choices, the score, and Rematch / Give up.
- The big moment plays out in the middle of your screen: both picks, a slamming 3, 2, 1, then the reveal with a spinning glow for the winner, a full-screen flash and a sound for winning, losing or a draw.
No peeking
- Clicking a choice only tells your opponent you've locked in, not what you picked.
- Picks are only sent once both players have locked in and the countdown has finished.
- If an opponent never reveals, the game ends after 10 seconds.
Rematches and scores
- Both press Rematch to go again. The score carries over until someone gives up.
- Short, one-line announcements in party/raid chat (or as an emote when you're not grouped):
[RPS] Chadwick wins: Rock beats Scissors (Chadwick 2-1 Bob)[RPS] Final: Chadwick 3-2 Bob, Chadwick wins
Wager mode
- Right-click > Rock Paper Scissors (wager)... and choose your gold per round.
- After a loss, the buttons become Double or nothing and Pay up. The next round is played for everything owed, so the debt is either wiped or doubled.
- The winner's button reads Cash out.
- Affordability check: you can't bet unless you carry enough gold to pay what you'd owe if you lost the next round. Both sides are checked.
- Debts are remembered between sessions. You can't start a new game with someone you have an open debt with, except double or nothing on that debt (available from the right-click menu to either player).
Settling up
- Pay up / Collect opens a trade window with your opponent. They need to be targeted and in trade range.
- A panel beside the trade window shows how much to put in. The winner sees how much the other player has actually put in, so they know when it's safe to Accept.
- The debt clears automatically once the gold changes hands.
- The player who is owed can forgive the debt from the right-click menu or with
/rps forgive Name, which clears it on both sides.

Good to know
- Addons can't move gold for you. Blizzard only lets players put gold in a trade and press Accept themselves. RPS Wager tells you the amount and checks it, but you click.
- Nothing forces a loser to pay. The debt record and the chat announcements are the only pressure. Play with people you trust.
- Each player's addon keeps its own record of debts. A player with an edited copy could still bend the rules, so treat it as a friendly game, not a casino.
