RPVox gives your character a voice.

It speaks for you as you play. When you cast a spell, drop below a quarter
health, die, come back, land a killing blow, eat, drink, fish, mine, skin,
mount up, hand in a quest or find somewhere you have never been, it may say
something in your character's voice. You control how often. It does the rest.

WHO CAN HEAR IT

RPVox is heard only by players standing near you who also run RPVox. The range
is the same as /say, but nothing is ever sent to public chat -- you cannot spam
strangers with it, and strangers cannot read your character either. Everyone
you want to roleplay with needs the addon.

Lines arrive tagged [RP] and coloured cyan, so nobody confuses them with
something you typed yourself.

GROUP CONTENT

In a raid group, or inside a raid, RPVox says nothing at all until you leave.
In a five-man dungeon the chance is capped at 1% however high you set it.

Neither is a setting. People are reading chat for pulls and marks, and nobody
should have to remember to turn it down on the way in.

WHAT IT COVERS

- Combat. Every ability in your class has its own set of lines -- and they are
its own, not generic filler. A paladin swinging a hammer does not sound like
a shadow priest.
- Reactions. Low health, death, resurrection, killing blow, entering and
leaving combat, being interrupted, levelling, falling, drowning, and noticing
your gear is in pieces.
- Everyday life. Eating, drinking, fishing, mining, herbalism, skinning,
mounting, quests, discovering an area, and ten crafting professions.
- Moods. Switch mood and the same character speaks differently. Grim, weary,
serious and happy are not four settings; they are four versions of the same
person on four different days.
- Profiles. One per character, each with its own class, mood, lines and
frequency. Your character remembers which one it uses.

WRITTEN, NOT GENERATED

Nearly nine thousand hand written lines, and every class has its own character:

- Priest -- a Forsaken shadow priest. Dry, cold, unimpressed, still angry about
having died. Four moods.
- Mage -- an arcanist. Precise, superior, treats combat as applied theory and
people as material.
- Hunter -- a Sin'dorei noblewoman who treats a battlefield as a badly
organised court. Offended by dust, blood and bad manners, in that order.
- Druid -- a Kaldorei only half returned from the Emerald Dream, speaking
slightly out of step with the present and unsure which war this is.
- Rogue -- a guild-trained professional who regards killing as skilled trade
work. Rates, tools, standards, and no cruelty whatsoever.
- Warlock -- a contract lawyer who happens to deal in souls. Terms, clauses and
arrears, and demons who are simply difficult staff.
- Paladin -- a Blood Knight who takes the Light by force and resents needing
it. He does not pray and he will not kneel.
- Shaman -- an old orc who does not command the elements so much as negotiate
with them, and they are frequently in a mood.
- Warrior -- a single voice, plainly spoken.

MAKE IT YOURS

The stock lines are a starting point, not the point. Open the settings window,
clear any trigger, and write your own. The moment you type, that trigger is
yours and no update will ever overwrite it. Neither will your frequency
settings.

Two tokens are available. %t becomes whoever you are targeting -- a line
containing it will not fire when you have no target, so keep a few lines
without it in every set. %s becomes your own name.

Moods are just a tag in front of a line:

[grim] Nothing stops now.

That line only fires while the mood is set to grim. Untagged lines always fire.
Any name works, so make your own moods and write lines for them.

RESTRAINT

Two controls, and they do different things. Chance is per trigger: the odds
that any one cast speaks. The quiet gap is for the whole profile: after
anything is said, everything stays silent for that long.

Start low. A character who comments on every single fireball stops being a
character and becomes noise. RPVox never yells, and there is no setting to
change that.
