rMinimap Redux

If you've ever loaded into Azeroth, glanced at that plain round minimap in the corner, and wished it looked like something out of a darker, more atmospheric game — rMinimap is exactly that addon.

The moment it loads, your minimap is surrounded by a rotating mechanical cogwheel ring in dark steel tones. Behind the map itself, a red fire portal pulses and flickers in three dimensions, giving the whole corner of your screen a look straight out of Sanctuary. The default Blizzard borders, zoom buttons, and the native zone text label all disappear, replaced by rMinimap's own overlays and a clean info line that shows your current zone name, live map coordinates, latency, and FPS — all in custom colors and fonts of your choosing.

The five minimap icons (mail, calendar, tracking, queue, and addon compartment) no longer pile up at random angles. They orbit the map in a proper ring, and you can drag any of them to a new position just by clicking and dragging — no slash commands, no config file editing. Any other addons you use that register LibDBIcon buttons (like DBM, Details, WeakAuras, and dozens more) are automatically swept off the minimap surface and neatly shelved inside Blizzard's Addon Compartment, which itself rides the ring at a spot you choose.

Everything about the look is tunable from a single in-game panel (/rmm). Want the fire effect subtler? Drop the opacity slider to 30%. Prefer the cogwheel spinning twice as fast in the other direction? Two clicks. Prefer the older "Classic" border without wings? One dropdown. Want to know your coordinates at a glance? Enable them in the info text section and they appear inline next to your zone name in whatever color you pick. The minimap cluster itself can be dragged anywhere on the screen and scaled to any size with an Alt+drag, and those positions survive every reload.

rMinimap doesn't just skin the minimap — it replaces the experience of having one. The result is a minimap that feels like a genuine part of a darker, handcrafted UI rather than an afterthought sitting in the corner.
