Paladin Rotation Helper
Paladin Rotation Helper is a lightweight, seal-and-Judgement-aware PvE priority advisor for Retribution Paladins in World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade Anniversary.
It follows the real Retribution mechanics instead of treating the Paladin like a normal cooldown-only class. At max level it tracks your melee swing and guides one-way Rank 1 Command into Blood/Martyr seal twists:
Crusader Strike under Blood/Martyr → Judgement before Command prep → Rank 1 Command → Blood/Martyr in the final 0.4 seconds
The addon only recommends actions. It never casts abilities, changes equipment, targets enemies, or automates player input.
Features
- Clean icon-first combat display with a large primary recommendation.
- Full ability reason, mana, target mode, and seal details available by hovering the primary icon.
- Seal maintenance that accounts for the real live-verified ~30 second Seal duration, refreshing a few seconds early instead of only after it has already lapsed.
- Swing-timed Seal of Command into Seal of Blood/Seal of the Martyr twisting, enabled by default when both required seals are known.
- Judgement and Crusader Strike core priority, with Judgement correctly gated on an active Seal.
- Exorcism and Holy Wrath restricted to Undead/Demon targets.
- Hammer of Wrath excluded during twisting because it resets the swing timer; it remains available in the non-twisting fallback rotation.
- Consecration as the core AoE tool, plus an optional single-target filler toggle.
- Automatic single-target and multi-target profiles, plus manual overrides (
/rrh mode auto|single|aoe). - Action-button highlighting for Blizzard bars, Bartender4, and Dominos.
- Compact cooldown icons for Avenging Wrath, Divine Favor, and trinkets.
- In-game settings under
Escape → Options → AddOns, or/rrh. - Built-in 35-scenario priority self-test.
- Privacy-safe 60-second diagnostic report for useful bug reports.
Max-level twist priority
- Maximize auto-attacks with Blood/Martyr active.
- Crusader Strike on cooldown with Blood/Martyr active.
- If Crusader Strike is not ready, judge Blood/Martyr before preparing Rank 1 Command.
- Twist back into Blood/Martyr during the final 0.4 seconds of the swing.
- Use Exorcism or Consecration only when there is not enough time to twist.
Disable seal twisting in settings to use the assigned-seal leveling and utility fallback.
AoE / cleave priority
Retribution has no real cleave ability in TBC (Divine Storm does not exist yet), so AoE mode centers on Consecration as the core multi-target tool:
AoE preserves the same twist timing, using Consecration only when the current swing does not have enough time for a twist.
Automatic enemy counting uses recent combat-log interactions. If it cannot see an unengaged nearby enemy, force the profile with /rrh mode aoe.
Commands and testing
/rrhor/paladinhelper— open settings./rrh sim check— run all 35 deterministic priority checks./rrh mode auto|single|aoe— select target-count behavior./rrh record— record up to 60 seconds of anonymous decision data./rrh report— open the selected, copyable diagnostic report.
If a recommendation looks wrong, please include the complete /rrh report in the Paladin channel on Discord. It contains no account, character, realm, or target names; no chat, GUIDs, or item links.

Scope
Aura and self-Blessing maintenance are intentionally out of scope - those are a "set it and forget it, yourself" concern with a much longer/indefinite duration, not something a combat rotation advisor needs to weigh in on every global cooldown.
The rotation is based on TBC Retribution Paladin mechanics and has been checked with a deterministic offline self-check suite. The author does not currently have a max-level Retribution Paladin, so player feedback from mid-level and level-70 content will drive the next updates.
