Enjoy the new stories in WoW Forever

RestedXP LoreGuard lets you keep RestedXP's quest automation while taking your time with new Forever quests.

When you encounter a new Forever quest, automatic acceptance and turn-in pause so you can read the dialogue and confirm manually. Known Classic quests continue to use RestedXP's normal automation.

Requirements and installation

Designed for WoW Forever and RestedXP Guides.

Install both addons, restart the game, then type /rxplg status to check that LoreGuard is connected to RestedXP.

Commands

• /rxplg on — Enable protection.
• /rxplg off — Disable protection.
• /rxplg status — Check the integration.
• /rxplg id — Display the current quest's ID and classification.
• /rxplg allow ID — Allow automation for a specific quest.
• /rxplg protect ID — Protect a specific quest.
• /rxplg reset ID — Remove a quest override.

How quest detection works

LoreGuard compares quest IDs against a bundled Classic quest list. Quests absent from that list are treated as new Forever quests.

Missing Classic entries may occasionally be misclassified. Use an override to correct them. Rewritten dialogue on existing Classic quest IDs is not detected automatically.

LoreGuard controls RestedXP automation only. It does not stop automatic actions performed by the game itself or other addons.

Patch notes

v1.0.1

NPC quest greetings previously paused all automation, including Classic turn-ins such as The Cliffspring River. LoreGuard now checks each quest's actual ID and selects eligible Classic quests even when the NPC also offers new Forever quests. Classic turn-ins keep priority over acceptance, following RestedXP's automation settings.
