v1.2.1-forever
What's new
Rested Arcade 1.2.1
- Leaderboards now cover all six games. Rune Circuit ranks fewest turns, then fastest time, for each of its 24 puzzles; Cratekeeper ranks fewest pushes, then steps, then fastest time, for each of its 32 rooms.
- Current puzzle bests appear automatically. Resume and Undo count toward puzzle rankings; original Rune Circuit boards keep separate local records.
- Puzzle timers measure active play and add 5 seconds per successful Undo. Penalties survive Resume; Restart resets the timer. There is no time limit.
- Added Turns, Pushes, Steps, and Time columns and paged category selection so every puzzle is easy to reach. Older records show no time until replayed; saves made before the penalty rule need a restart to earn a ranked time.
Rested Arcade 1.2.0
Version correction: this minor release contains the same update initially published as 1.1.3.
New games
- Rune Circuit: 24 pipe-rotation puzzles. Find a route among decoy pipes, power every shrine, and leave no open ends in the powered circuit. Later puzzles add more shrines, branches, and loops. Local records track your fewest turns.
- Cratekeeper: 32 crate-pushing rooms, progressing from introductory deliveries to five-crate challenges. Records compare fewest pushes, then fewest steps.
- Both games include saved-game Resume, Undo for the latest 256 actions, Restart, and Next Puzzle. Every level is available from the start, with twelve puzzles per page.
Friends and guild leaderboards
- Compare scores with character friends, compatible Battle.net friends, and guildmates. Everyone participating needs Rested Arcade.
- Separate rankings cover Loot Shuffle modes, Ricochet layouts, Sweeper difficulties, and Keybind Master songs and difficulties.
- Improved personal bests share automatically. Refresh requests scores from online players, and cached scores remain available while friends are offline. Scores sync through hidden addon messages without posting to chat.
- Forever character first and last names now display and match correctly, including on existing personal records.
Game improvements and scoring
- Loot Shuffle: Added an untimed 20 Moves mode with its own personal best and leaderboard.
- Keybind Master: Added balanced practice drills, drills focused on missed keys, and silent practice without Music enabled.
- Keybind Master scoring: Each extra keypress deducts 50 points, preventing button-mashing from inflating scores. Earlier bests are preserved separately.
- Murloc Sweeper: Added twelve fixed puzzles that can be solved without guessing, alongside the six Random Camp difficulties.
- Arcane Ricochet: Added Bronze, Silver, and Gold medals, plus Chain Reaction objectives. Personal bests are tracked separately for each layout.
- Restored scored runs become Practice. Pausing Timed Loot Shuffle or an already-started Random Camp also makes it Practice. Practice results remain in history but do not replace competitive bests or enter leaderboards.
- Shared rankings use fresh results under the current scoring rules. Older scores remain saved. Rune Circuit, Cratekeeper, and Sweeper's Puzzle Pack still earn local completion after restoring.
Interface and saves
- Redesigned the Games screen into a dashboard with all six games visible, plus a selected-game panel for modes, progress, and Play/Resume.
- Added paged puzzle selection for Rune Circuit and Cratekeeper, and improved window scaling for smaller screens.
- Fixed saved-game text overlapping the selected game's highlight.
- Existing saves and records are preserved, including earlier puzzle versions. Failed saves retain the previous checkpoint and display a warning.
Rested Arcade 1.1.2
- Updates for newest WoW: Forever Beta build
Rested Arcade 1.1.1
Murloc Sweeper
- Added a Restart / Back to Games prompt after a loss or win. Restart keeps the same camp difficulty.
- Added three harder camps with larger boards and more densely packed Murlocs:
- Murloc Warren: 18 by 18 tiles, 65 Murlocs.
- Murloc Stronghold: 20 by 20 tiles, 90 Murlocs.
- Murloc Invasion: 24 by 24 tiles, 144 Murlocs.
- Kept tiles and clue numbers on the harder boards at least as large as Murloc Village's. The game window expands with the board and fits itself to the screen.
- Moved instructions, navigation, and result prompts to fit the larger window. Menus and smaller boards return to their normal size.
- Preserved the safe first reveal, saved-game resume, and separate personal bests for every camp. New camp scores remain saved after reloading.
The original three camp sizes and their mine counts are unchanged.
