ReQuest tracks how many times you've completed each world quest and displays this count in tooltips on the world map and the objective tracker.
Great for those seeking certain achievements as well as anyone who simply wants to do every world quest at least once.
Tallies are kept both per-character and by account. You can choose to show either or both.
You may manually adjust the count for a quest with the "/rq" command.
Ok thank you!! Then will it always get that wrong the first time when I do the world quest? And from the second time on will the addon count well? :)
In reply to RedTiger_9:
It simply starts at zero and then, whenever a world quest is completed, increases the number by one. So if it's the first time the addon has "seen" you complete the quest (and you haven't used /rq to change the count), then it will say you've completed it once (count = 1). The next time, it will be twice (count = 2), and so on.
If you disable the addon and complete it yet again, it won't have seen that completion. When you reenable it, the count would still be 2, and if you then complete it another time with the addon enabled, the count becomes 3. Etc.
How does it work please?? Explain the /rq command more. I need a guide, don't know how to count the done world quests...
In reply to RedTiger_9:
The /rq command is for manually altering the counts. You only need to do that if you want to change the count that ReQuest has automatically been tracking.
If you type "/rq" it gives you usage instructions, but I'll paraphrase here:
/rq <quests> to <number>
... where <quests> is one or more references to a quest, and <number> is the number you want the count to be set to.
A reference to a quest can be either the quest ID (a number) or a chat link. IIRC, you can get chat links by shift-clicking on the quest name or icon. You can have several of these references in a single /rq command to set them all at once to the same <number> count.
For example, if the quest's ID is 1234 and you want the completion count to be 5, you would use:
/rq 1234 to 5
Do we need count manually the world quests with the addon or is it auto???
Edit: I don't know how to use and don't know the [Quest Link]. I tought the addon counts the done quests automatically.
In reply to RedTiger_9:
It counts them automatically from the point of install but it can't track what you did before it was installed.

This is fixed on my end but there's a hitch with uploading the new version. Should hopefully be resolved soon.
In reply to Tuhljin:
No rush my friend. I read you have some real life stuff taking you time up on the overachiever thread.
Just thought id mention it on the off chance you didnt know.
A big thank you for all your time creating & fixing your addons its very much appreciated. All the best.
In reply to Tuhljin:
Bless you.
I cannot make heads or tails out of an error message In case it is not about this, ReQuest is preventing my WQ and Emissary icons from displaying their reward info on mouse-over. All I get is some text without a frame.
Thank you for your work on this addon. It improves my questing enjoyment.
In reply to Yewfire:
If this is still happening with the new release, please report it on the Issues page.
In reply to Tuhljin:
You fixed it. Thanks!
In reply to Tuhljin:
Until the upload problem is fixed, it would be appreciated if you can find a way to share the fixed files with either google drive, github, pastebin etc. Thank you
Hello,
I love this mini extra addon for World Quests, however I think it not work properly. Some WQ I finished in Legion still show as never completed (Im only doing WQ with my main paladin).
In reply to erunosta:
The addon can only track quests you completed while it is running. Quests completed in the past aren't known to the addon.
You can use the /rq command to change the current character's completion count for specified world quests.
In reply to Tuhljin:
I installed your addon when I started doing world quests in Legion zones. I dont have BfA expansion. I also used other WQ tracker addons with yours, like World Quest List.
Anyway this thing is obsolete now as I havent played WoW since 3 month.
Thanks for your reply.
Must have addon in 8.0.1.
