RecipeRoster
Hover a recipe, see which of your characters can use it.
RecipeRoster remembers the professions and learned recipes of every character on your account. Whenever you hover a recipe — in your bags, at a vendor, on the Auction House or in a chat link — the tooltip tells you, for each of your characters with that profession:
- Can learn — they have the skill to learn it right now
- Needs 225 — they have the profession but their skill is still too low (current skill shown)
- Known — they already know it
No more mailing a pattern to your tailor only to find out she learned it last month.
Features
- Tracks all recipe professions: Alchemy, Blacksmithing, Enchanting, Engineering, Leatherworking, Tailoring, Cooking, First Aid
- Account-wide: works across every character and realm on your account
- Crafted by: hover any craftable item to see which of your characters can make it (can be turned off)
- Characters are shown in their class colors, best option first
- Works in any client language — no hard-coded English text
- Lightweight: no libraries, no options window, nothing running in the background
Getting started
- Install and log in on each character once.
- Open each profession window once on that character. WoW only exposes your learned recipes while the window is open, so this is how RecipeRoster learns them. Skill levels update on their own after that.
- Hover any recipe.
Until a character's profession has been scanned, its tooltip line says "open Profession to scan".
Commands
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
/rroster |
List every character, their professions, skill and number of recipes recorded |
/rroster forget Name-Realm |
Remove a deleted or transferred character (realm optional for your current realm) |
/rroster craftedby |
Turn the "crafted by" line on item tooltips on or off |
Compatibility
WoW Classic Era 1.15.x, including Hardcore and Season of Discovery realms.
Known limitations
- A recipe counts as "Known" by matching its name against the character's recipe list. A few recipe items have names that differ slightly from the recipe they teach; those may show "Can learn" for a character who already knows them. Please report any you find.
- Fishing and cooking skill books (e.g. Expert Cookbook) aren't recipes and may show as learnable.
