🎮 How It Works

CharTracker uses WoW's SavedVariables system to store character data account-wide. When you enter a major city, the addon waits 10 seconds to ensure all character data is fully loaded, then saves:

• Basic Information - Name, class, level, guild, etc.
• Resources - Gold and all available currencies
• Progress - All reputation factions with current standings
• Professions - Skill levels for all learned professions
• Lockouts - Current week's raid saves

All data is stored in one place and persists across all characters on your account.

⚙️ Configuration

CharTracker works great out of the box with sensible defaults:

• Auto-save in cities: Enabled (can be disabled via settings)
• City save cooldown: 5 minutes (prevents spam)
• Manual save: Always available with /ct save

Data appears incomplete?

• Make sure you wait at least 10 seconds after entering a city
• Use /ct check to verify data is ready before manual save
• Try /ct save manually after confirming data is ready

Character not showing in /ct list?

• Visit any major city to trigger auto-save
• Or use /ct save manually
• Make sure you /reload or logout to persist SavedVariables

Export too large for spreadsheets?

• Export individual characters instead of full roster
• Use "Current Character Only" option in export window
