Raidex Keys

What this is

Raidex Keys is a desktop app for Windows and Linux. It shows the Mythic+ week of all your characters — keystone, M+ rating, best runs, Great Vault — and your guild's keys, outside the game.

This addon is the bridge. The keystone a character carries is known only to the game client; no web API gives it away. The addon writes what the game knows into its SavedVariables, and the app reads them from there. In game it adds a minimap button and nothing else: no window, no frames, no numbers on your screen. If you are not going to use the desktop app, this addon has little to give you.

What the addon records

• Keystone, M+ rating and best run per dungeon, for every character you log in with — not just the one you play tonight.
• Great Vault progress: what each slot needs, and what it will give.
• The week's affixes and the season's dungeons.
• Your guild's keystones, collected over the LibKeystone protocol — the same one BigWigs and others speak.

In game

• A minimap button. Its tooltip shows your own key, how many of your group's keys are known, and how many keys your guild has this week. Right-click links your key in chat, left-click opens the options.
• /rk tells you what it has stored, /rk options opens the options, /rk minimap hides or shows the button, /rk debug is for bug reports.
• Two options: share your key with your guild (on by default — switch it off and your key stays hidden, while your rating is still answered), and show the minimap button.
• German and English.

Your data stays yours

The addon sends nothing anywhere. It writes a file on your own disk, which the desktop app reads on the same machine. Only if you connect the app with a Raidex account — your choice, and not needed for anything the addon does — do your keys reach your guild through Raidex.

How fresh are the numbers? WoW saves an addon's data when you log out or type /reload. The desktop app therefore always shows the state as of your last logout, and says how old every value is. It is never live data.

Compatibility

LibKeystone is not embedded. If another addon (BigWigs, for instance) has already loaded it, Raidex Keys uses that one and nobody answers a request twice. If not, the addon speaks the protocol itself. Astral Keys and friends can stay where they are.

Bugs, ideas, source

Issues and the addon's source are on GitHub — you can write in German or English. The addon is free software under the GNU General Public License, version 3 or later. The desktop app is closed-source freeware: free to use and to pass on unchanged.

Raidex Keys ist eine Desktop-App für Windows und Linux. Sie zeigt die Mythic+-Woche all deiner Charaktere — Keystone, M+-Wertung, beste Läufe, Schatzkammer — und die Keys deiner Gilde, außerhalb des Spiels.

Dieses Addon ist die Brücke dorthin. Welchen Keystone ein Charakter trägt, weiß nur der Spielclient; keine Web-API gibt ihn heraus. Das Addon schreibt, was das Spiel weiß, in seine SavedVariables, und die App liest sie von dort. Im Spiel fügt es einen Minimap-Button hinzu, sonst nichts: kein Fenster, keine Frames, keine Zahlen auf deinem Bildschirm. Wer die Desktop-App nicht nutzt, hat von diesem Addon wenig.

Die App gibt es auf raidex.app/keys — kostenlos, für Windows 10/11 und Linux (.deb und .tar.gz).

Was das Addon aufzeichnet

• Keystone, M+-Wertung und besten Lauf je Dungeon, für jeden Charakter, mit dem du dich einloggst — nicht nur für den von heute Abend.
• Den Fortschritt der Großen Schatzkammer: was jeder Platz noch braucht und was er geben wird.
• Die Affixe der Woche und die Dungeons der Saison.
• Die Keystones deiner Gilde, gesammelt über das LibKeystone-Protokoll — dasselbe, das BigWigs und andere sprechen.

Im Spiel

• Ein Minimap-Button. Sein Tooltip zeigt deinen eigenen Key, wie viele Keys deiner Gruppe bekannt sind und wie viele Keys deine Gilde diese Woche hat. Rechtsklick linkt deinen Key in den Chat, Linksklick öffnet die Einstellungen.
• /rk sagt dir, was gespeichert ist, /rk options öffnet die Einstellungen, /rk minimap blendet den Button aus oder ein, /rk debug ist für Fehlerberichte.
• Zwei Einstellungen: den eigenen Key mit der Gilde teilen (standardmäßig an — aus heißt, dein Key bleibt verborgen und nur deine Wertung wird beantwortet) und den Minimap-Button anzeigen.
• Deutsch und Englisch.

Deine Daten bleiben deine

Das Addon schickt nichts irgendwohin. Es schreibt eine Datei auf deine eigene Platte, die die Desktop-App auf demselben Rechner liest. Nur wenn du die App mit einem Raidex-Konto verbindest — deine Entscheidung, und für nichts davon nötig —, gehen deine Keys über Raidex an deine Gilde.

Wie frisch sind die Zahlen? WoW speichert die Daten eines Addons beim Ausloggen oder bei /reload. Die Desktop-App zeigt darum immer den Stand deines letzten Logouts und schreibt zu jedem Wert dazu, wie alt er ist. Es sind nie Live-Daten.

Verträglichkeit

LibKeystone wird nicht mitgeliefert. Hat ein anderes Addon (etwa BigWigs) es schon geladen, nutzt Raidex Keys dieses — dann antwortet niemand doppelt. Sonst spricht das Addon das Protokoll selbst. Astral Keys und Verwandte können bleiben, wo sie sind.

Der Fehler-Tracker und der Quellcode des Addons liegen auf GitHub — du kannst auf Deutsch oder Englisch schreiben. Das Addon ist freie Software unter der GNU General Public License, Version 3 oder später. Die Desktop-App ist Freeware mit geschlossenem Quellcode: frei zu benutzen und unverändert weiterzugeben.
