QuestWordHunter - German Dictionary

Blizzard publishes a quest title and its offer text, and nothing else. No objectives, no progress or hand-in lines, no NPC gossip. Words that live only in those passages never reach the dictionary at all — Besichtigt was missing even though besichtigen and Besichtigung were both present, because that imperative only ever appears on an objective line.

Playing with text collection switched on brings them back. One session returned 281 Retail passages and 94 from Season of Discovery: 104 empty fields filled, 38 gossip passages added, and 46 new words glossed — Luchshalsbänder, Giftextraktion, Skorpidtoxin, Sturmrennstrecken, Frostfeuergronnlinge among them.

Two things are now filtered out of collected text.

Your character names. Gossip addresses you by name, so the line is stored with it, and four character names came through looking like ordinary German vocabulary. They are removed now — in the addon when the text is stored, and again on import for exports already taken. An export is also a file you might send to someone else, and your character name is not part of the deal.

Passages in the wrong language. One entirely Portuguese passage had reached the German corpus and contributed nine Portuguese words to it.
