What's new

Covers the Classic Era vocabulary, and a licence change.

**This addon is now GPL v3.** Part of the new German vocabulary was gathered from the German quest text of a local quest database distributed under the GNU General Public License version 3, which asks for attribution and the same licence in return. Both are in `NOTICE` and `LICENSE`. What ships is not that text—it is a list of individual words, each with a translation and a note written for this project. No quest sentence is reproduced.

**4,004 new entries, every one audited.** 1,630 machine translations corrected, notes on 3,197. The dictionary is now 77,867 entries.

Measured before and after against the German text of all 4,231 Classic Era quests: one word in twenty-five would have come up unglossed, and now none does.

The same file serves both games — the dictionary is keyed by word, not by quest id, so `Klinge` means the same thing in Classic as in Retail. The `-Classic` and `-Retail` downloads differ only in the interface number.

Three entries were corrected by hand after the audit. `abgeschickten`, `zugestellten` and `zugestellter` had come back as "unsent" and "undelivered": they had been met in sentences like *nicht zugestellte Briefe* and the sentence's negation had been folded into the word. A player clicking `zugestellten` has to see "delivered" — the *nicht* is a separate word they can click on its own. A systematic sweep for that class of error found these three and nothing else.
