PvP Combat Log turns on World of Warcraft combat logging when you enter an arena or a battleground, so the match is written to WoWCombatLog.txt without typing /combatlog first.
What it does
- When you zone into an arena or a battleground, and combat logging is off, the addon turns it on.
- It checks again if you change area while you are still in that arena or battleground.
- If logging is already on, it leaves it alone.
- It does not turn logging off when the match ends, and it does not enable logging in the open world, dungeons, or raids.
- An orange chat line confirms it: "PvP Combat Log: Combat logging enabled." On login it also says that arenas and battlegrounds will be combat logged.
What you get
You can queue and play without remembering to start the log. The client writes the same combat log it writes when you use /combatlog, which is the file sites such as Warcraft Logs read after an arena or battleground. The addon does not upload the log, parse it, or add a meter. It only starts the log for you in PvP.
