Pullscope

Pullscope is a post-pull review tool for raid teams and Mythic+ groups. After every raid pull, wipe or kill, it opens a report showing who took avoidable damage, which mechanics caused it, who was targeted by each boss ability, and when it happened.

Pullscope

See who stood in it, who had the mechanic, and when, after every pull.

Pullscope is a post-pull review tool for raid teams and Mythic+ groups. After every raid pull, wipe or kill, it opens a report showing who took avoidable damage, which mechanics caused it, who was targeted by each boss ability, and when it happened during the fight. Every pull is saved on your PC, grouped by raid night, so you can go back to any pull from the evening. Clearing your damage meters doesn't affect it.

Pullscope is built for Midnight's addon rules. It uses no combat-log parsing. It reads Blizzard's built-in damage meter, which addons are still allowed to use.

Why use Pullscope

  • Fewer guesses about what went wrong. Instead of asking "who got hit by the tornado?" in voice chat, open the report and see each player, each mechanic, and how much damage it did.
  • Know who had the mechanic. When nobody remembers who had the orb or the mark, the Targeted tab lists who had it and at what time.
  • Give feedback without calling people out. Whisper each player only their own hits, or send a summary to an officer or a Battle.net friend, instead of posting to raid chat.
  • Review the whole night at once. The raid-night summary adds up every pull, so you can see which mechanics cost the most across the night.
  • Works on every boss and dungeon. Pullscope uses Blizzard's own "avoidable damage" flags, so it covers every current raid boss and Mythic+ dungeon without waiting for an addon update.
  • Nothing is lost when meters are reset. Pulls are saved the moment combat ends, and Mythic+ keys are saved piece by piece as you go.

Features

Avoidable damage report

  • Opens automatically after every raid pull (kill or wipe) and after every completed Mythic+ key, timed or not.
  • By player: who took the most avoidable damage, each player's share of the raid total, and a breakdown by mechanic.
  • By mechanic: which abilities did the most damage, and who was hit by each.
  • Marks players who died to an avoidable mechanic.
  • Tank-aware: frontals aimed at the tank (for example, Sszorak's Ravage) count only when they hit someone else.
  • Class-colored bars, spell icons, and spell tooltips with spell IDs.

Targeted abilities: who had it, and when

  • Shows who was targeted by each boss mechanic, such as orbs, marks, soaks, and debuffs, with the time in the fight, for example "Holyhandz @ 0:41".
  • Includes a starter list of targeted mechanics for The Venomous Abyss. You can add any spell yourself (see All damage).
  • Raiders who don't run Pullscope still appear, based on the damage they took from the mechanic; they just don't have times.

Fight timeline

  • A time-ordered list of the targeted and avoidable hits on each raider during the fight. Tick All spells to see every hit.
  • Each raider's copy of Pullscope records their own hits and debuffs during the pull, then shares them with the group afterward. The more of your raid runs Pullscope, the more complete the timeline is.

All damage

  • Every spell each player took damage from, including unavoidable damage.
  • Search by spell name or spell ID.
  • Right-click any spell to mark it as a targeted ability. Earlier pulls update too.

Raid night history

  • Every pull is saved on your PC and grouped by raid night. Pulls after midnight stay with the same night.
  • A night summary adds up all of a night's pulls in one report.
  • Step through pulls with the arrow buttons, or open any pull from the History tab.
  • Pulls are kept for 30 days by default. You can change this.
  • When you change which spells count as avoidable or targeted, saved pulls update to match.

Sharing

  • Whisper selected abilities: tick the mechanics you care about and send the details to:
    • someone in your raid or party,
    • a Battle.net friend who is online, in WoW or in the Battle.net app,
    • or any character name you type.
  • Whisper each player their own hits: each affected player gets a private whisper with only their own numbers. Expected tank hits are left out.
  • Post to group: sends the top 5 to raid, party, or instance chat.
  • Export for Discord: copyable text, already formatted for a Discord message.
  • Messages are split to fit WoW's chat limit and spaced out so they aren't throttled. Anything you send during a boss fight waits until the game allows chat again.

Mythic+

  • One report at the end of every completed key, timed or not, with the key level and how many levels it upgraded.
  • Covers the whole run, including trash, and leaves out anything from before the key started.
  • Survives a /reload during the key.
  • Saves each finished fight as you go, so resetting the damage meters mid-key doesn't lose any data.
  • Abandoned or reset keys produce no report.

Customization

  • Count extra spells as avoidable, or ignore ones you don't care about.
  • Mark or unmark targeted abilities.
  • Choose whether the window opens after each pull, whether results post to chat automatically, whether to use Blizzard's avoidable flags, and whether to share your timeline.
  • Turn raid or Mythic+ tracking on or off separately.

Getting started

  1. Install Pullscope and log in.
  2. Type /pscope test to see a sample Sszorak pull with every tab filled in.
  3. Pull a boss. The report opens when combat ends.
  4. Ask your raid to install Pullscope too, so the fight timeline covers everyone.

You can also open Pullscope from the addon menu next to the minimap.

How it works

Since Midnight, addons can't read the combat log. During boss encounters the game also hides other players' debuffs from addons. Pullscope works within those rules:

  • After each pull, it reads Blizzard's built-in damage meter, which shows how much damage each player took from each spell.
  • During each raid pull, it watches your own damage taken and your own debuffs, which the game still lets an addon read. That builds your personal timeline.
  • After the pull, each raider's copy shares its timeline with the group, so everyone's report shows the full raid.

Requirements and limitations

  • Requires Blizzard's built-in damage meter, which is part of the game since Midnight.
  • Fight times need Pullscope on each raider. Players without it still show up in every tab, but without timestamps.
  • If the game ever stops letting addons read your own damage line during a fight, the Timeline tab says so. Every other feature keeps working.
  • Shared timelines are sent after the pull. If the game delays addon messages inside the raid, they arrive once it lets them through.
  • The built-in spell lists for The Venomous Abyss come from boss guides. Blizzard's flags cover most avoidable damage on their own; if one of our spell IDs doesn't match on live servers, fix it in game with /pscope add, /pscope ignore, or by right-clicking the spell in the All damage tab.
  • Reports are stored on your PC only. Nothing is uploaded anywhere.

Feedback

Found a mechanic that's counted wrong, or one that should be tracked as targeted? Leave a comment with the boss name and spell ID so it can be added to the built-in lists.
