The GUI in action
Description
BidKeeper is a simple addon (currently console only; GUI coming) which assists the player in tracking bids during raid auctions.
The sequence works something like this:
When taking bids on an item, the player types '/bk new [item link]' to start the auction, and then (at their pace) '/bk 1' to announce first call for bids, '/bk 2' to announce second call, and '/bk 3' to announce final call.
During this time, any messages to the player with numbers in them ('I bid 2 points') will have the bids put into a list along with the message that triggered them--you can type '/bk status' to see the current bids, sorted by descending amount.
If you are satisfied that the top bid is the winner, type '/bk commit' to close bidding and announce the winner; if not (if it's tied or if a friend send a tell for something happening in 2007 and BidKeeper thought they bid 2007 points), then just '/bk abort' and announce the real winner 'by hand'.
It's not perfect by a long shot, but it's a big help over watching the chat channel and writing everything down by hand. I will make a GUI for it eventually which should make the process even easier, but for now it's at least something.
