Search a profession trainer by name or description, including the stats on the crafted item.
A search bar appears at the bottom of the trainable patterns/recipes list, allowing you to filter listed items.
For example if you're looking for healing items to craft, type 'heal' and the list of patterns will only show items with 'heal' in their name, stats or descriptions.
