What's new

Changelog

After the merge: Retail + WoW Forever

v0.4.22

  • Section headings now have their own colors: Campaign violet, Dungeon blue. Other Quests keeps its faded gold.
  • New Heading colors option (Settings > Appearance) to choose Prime, Blizzard-style or Classic gold. Changes apply instantly.

v0.4.21 - Retail support

  • One download now works on both WoW Retail (Midnight, Interface 120105) and WoW Forever (Interface 16001), with the same settings on both.
  • New /pqt debug command shows the version, interface and client detected.
  • Retail: only real quests are tracked; hidden and bounty entries are skipped.
  • Retail: Escape closes the settings window, and a second Escape opens the Game Menu.
  • More reliable event handling, so a missing game event can't stop the tracker from updating.

Before the merge: WoW Forever only

v0.4.20

  • New icon artwork: a gold Prime badge with a quest checklist scroll and quill, used on the AddOns list, the settings window and the minimap button.

v0.4.19

  • The minimap button shows the full logo, sized to fit inside the round button like the other Prime suite buttons.

v0.4.18

  • New addon icon.

v0.4.17

  • Minimap button tooltip now matches the Prime suite: name, "Right-click: quest tracker options" and "Drag to reposition".

v0.4.16

  • Settings window title bar now shows the icon, the PrimeQuestTracker name and the version, like the other Prime addons.
  • Minimap tooltip title renamed to PrimeQuestTracker.

v0.4.15

  • Each setting row sits on its own subtle band, with values shown in boxes, so options are easier to tell apart.

v0.4.14

  • Every quest now shows an objective line. Talk-to and delivery quests show their objective sentence instead of "Objective details unavailable."
  • Settings window redesigned: larger text, clearer descriptions, Display / Appearance / Minimap Launcher sections with dividers, and left-aligned labels.

v0.4.13

  • The tracker header stays in place when you collapse, expand, or gain or lose quests.
  • You can now move your character while the settings window is open.

v0.4.12

  • Fixed a memory leak: tracker rows are reused instead of rebuilt every refresh.
  • The tracker keeps your scroll position instead of jumping back to the top.
  • A Max quests shown value of 8 is now kept after relogging.
  • Bursts of quest updates are combined into one refresh for smoother performance.

v0.4.11

  • Completed objectives show gray text with a green check; quest titles keep their difficulty colors.

v0.4.9

  • Pressing Escape with the settings open closes them and opens the Game Menu.

v0.4.8

  • Right-click the tracker header to lock or unlock it. The lock is saved.

v0.4.7

  • The tracker uses its full width when everything fits, and shows the scrollbar only when needed.
  • Max quests shown now defaults to 10.

v0.4.6

  • Added a divider under the QUESTS header.
  • Added the Max quests shown setting (1-20) with a note when quests are hidden.
  • The tracker grows with its content.

v0.4.5

  • Quest titles are colored by difficulty compared with your level.

v0.4.4

  • Completed objectives use a proper check-mark icon instead of an empty square.

v0.4.0 - v0.4.3

  • Added the minimap button with a custom quest icon: left-click switches Prime / Blizzard, right-click opens the settings, and drag moves it around the minimap.
  • Added options to show or hide the minimap button and reset its position.

v0.3.0

  • Quests are grouped under CAMPAIGN, DUNGEON and OTHER QUESTS, with ready-to-turn-in quests first.
