What's new

4.0.3 - 2026-09-09

A follow-up refinement to 4.0.2's Settings window fix, plus a zone-detection and a sound fix.

Fixed

  • Removed Blizzard's own "Defaults" button from Preydator, Bar Display, Sound & Alerts, and Hunt Scanner (the four screens that still had it after 4.0.2's own fix attempt). That button offered a choice between resetting just the current screen or "All Settings" — and "All Settings" resets every other addon's settings and Blizzard's own game settings too, with no way for any addon to narrow or prevent that.
  • Fixed Bar Colors and Text & Labels unintentionally being affected by that same fix — their dropdown menus and the Font Size slider are now guaranteed to look and behave exactly as they did in 4.0.0, with nothing shared between them and the four screens above.
  • Tightened the Advanced tab's spacing so everything fits on a single page without needing to scroll, and tightened it further on Preydator, Bar Display, Sound & Alerts, and Hunt Scanner too.
  • Fixed those same four screens' dropdown-style settings not showing your actual saved value when you first opened Settings or reloaded/relogged — the correct value only appeared after changing it once. They now always show your real current setting.
  • Fixed the bar occasionally staying visible in a zone that isn't part of any active hunt. Zone visibility is back to trusting Blizzard's own signals directly, with nothing remembered between checks.
  • Fixed alert sounds silently failing to play when Sound Channel was set to "Ambience" (or "Music") together with Amplify Alert Sounds — the amplify feature was muting the very channel the alert needed to play on, right before trying to play it.
  • Fixed errors on the World Map, on tooltips, and on vignette countdowns that were attributed to Preydator but never actually touched Preydator's own UI — caused by an internal hook watching Blizzard's shared prey-icon container, which briefly interfered with unrelated Blizzard UI code sharing that same container. Removed. Thanks to Holy_Z for reporting this.
