Power Level is designed for WoW Forever as a lightweight, natural extension of the default UI* that scores the power level of items and players. That's it! No setup required.
*ClassicUI Forever supported!

A simple score of 0 through 10 at a glance! Power Level works by weighing Item Level and Quality to the Player's Level. Higher-quality gear counts for more, so a Rare or Epic item is worth more Power than an Uncommon one of the same item level.
Weighted Item Level = Item Level × Quality Multiplier
Poor ×0.5 | Common ×0.75 | Uncommon ×1 | Rare ×1.25 | Epic ×1.5 | Legendary ×2
The average Weighted Item Level is then compared to your player level (or the level of the player you’re inspecting). Three anchor points define the curve:
- Power Level 10 is the ceiling. Only Epic-quality gear 10+ item levels above the player level can score this high!
- Power Level 5 is the baseline. That's Uncommon-quality gear equal to the player level.
- Power Level 0 is the floor. Any gear that's 20+ levels below the player level.
Examples:
- An Uncommon-quality item with an item level equal to your player level scores Power Level 5.
- A Rare-quality item with an item level equal to your player level scores Power Level 6.
- A Rare-quality item with an item level +10 over your player level scores Power Level 8.
- An Epic-quality item with an item level +10 over your player level scores Power Level 10.
Notables:
- Look for Power Levels on your target frame, character panels, and gear tooltips!
- Empty slots count as 0, so missing gear lowers the average Power.
- A two-handed weapon counts double (off-hand slot ignored).
- Scores are rounded down and stay between 0 and 10.
- Type /powerlevel for more options!
