Postbox — A Modern Mailbox & Mail Manager

The mailbox Azeroth deserves.

Postbox gives the game's mailbox one fast, clean window. Take everything at once or just what sold, see what every alt has waiting from anywhere, and arrange the window the way you like it. Nothing to set up: install it and open a mailbox.

Collect without thinking about it

• All mail takes gold, items and letters in one click, in the order your list shows them. Sort by time left and the mail about to expire goes first.
• Or just what you want: search ("ore", "sold", a name), pick rows, or turn on one-click buttons for bought, sold, canceled, expired, other, from your alts, and your own Character Groups (your bank alts, your crafters).
• Your bags are checked first. Keep a few slots free for loot, and if your bags fill anyway the run stops cleanly and tells you what's left.
• Take one item without opening the mail: set Attachments on hover to Fan out, hover a mail's icon and click the item you want.
• Senders in their class colors, stack counts and quality marks on item icons, time left on every mail, and read mail folded away under the list (or in a Done tab, or deleted for you).
• History keeps what you collected for a week (or up to a month): who, what, how much, even the letter's text.

Make it yours

• Arrange the window right where you use it: drag any column or button, hide what you don't need, and choose what the gold, time-left and slot figures show. One-line rows, larger two-line rows and History each keep their own layout.
• Columns or Packed: figures lined up like a table, or packed together so subjects get the room.
• Options that explain themselves: point at any setting and a panel beside it tells you what it does and shows it.

A look for every UI

• EllesmereUI: Postbox takes your font, your accent, and the same opacity and border as the windows beside it.
• ElvUI: your ElvUI accent, live.
• The default UI: the new Postbox style, in Dark or Light mode, with your choice of accent, background, border, corners, font and text size. Prefer the game's own look? Pick Blizzard.
• Window scale from 80% to 130%, in every look.

Every character's mail, from anywhere

• Mail Memory remembers each character's mailbox at your last visit: what is waiting, what each mail holds, and how long it has left. Search one character or all of them.
• It warns you before mail is lost, with a line in chat at login about your other characters, and a marker on the minimap icon.

A minimap icon that tells you more

• Off until you turn it on (Options, Minimap); while it's on, the game's own mail icon steps aside.
• Show it for New mail, for Mail on any character, or Always.
• A count of what's waiting, and a small red marker when mail is about to expire: pick its shape (a triangle fits the icon's corner), its color and its spot, and nudge it into place. It stays put even when the icon is hidden, or grows bigger if you like.
• Two dozen hand-painted icon styles, 16 to 40 px, with glow (gold, your accent, your class color, white or any color), pulse and shadow. Its tooltip shows your own mailbox, then each of your other characters with mail.

Sending made easy

• Names finish themselves as you type: recent contacts, alts, friends and guild.
• Right-click to attach, Alt-right-click for every stack, and more than 12 items go out in one press.
• Gold always asks first, and Ctrl+Enter sends.
• Manage Recipients keeps your favorites, notes and hidden names tidy.

Safe by design

• C.O.D. mail is never paid without asking, and one confirmation pays once, for the mail you chose.
• Deleting in bulk only ever removes finished mail you chose, and a mail that still holds something asks before it goes.
• When something can't be collected, Postbox says so, in the game's own words where it gives them.

Light on your game

No libraries, and nothing runs on a repeating timer away from a mailbox. A full refresh of 50 mails leaves under 2 KB of memory garbage, and switching between Mail and Send redraws your bags once. Postbox draws its own window and uses the game's mail functions directly; it never replaces Blizzard's mail code.
