Poly Focus Assist
Polymorph focus for Classic Era Mages.
Classic Era has no focus target. Poly Focus Assist emulates one: store the mob you want to crowd control, keep DPSing your own target, and re-Polymorph the stored mob with one click or one key. You are then returned to your previous target automatically.
How it works
- Target a hostile mob out of combat and click Set (or press your Set key).
- The frame shows the mob's portrait, name and Polymorph timer.
- Left-click the frame to target the stored mob.
- Right-click the frame (or press your Poly key) to Polymorph the stored mob, then jump back to whatever you were targeting before.
Left-click, right-click and the Poly and Target keys all work in combat, because they use secure macros. They keep working even if the frame is hidden.
Features
- Sheep, Pig or Turtle: pick your Polymorph form with the spell icons on the frame. Sheep casts your highest known rank. Your selection is saved.
- Polymorph timer: shows whether your Polymorph is on the stored mob, with a countdown bar.
- 3D portrait of the stored mob, with an optional emblem watermark.
- Clears itself when the stored mob dies.
- Safety first: if the stored mob can't be found, the macro never Polymorphs your current target.
- Movable and lockable: drag the title bar to move it, resize it from the menu, hide or show it with the minimap button or a key.
- Key bindings panel: set all keys in one place with
/pf keys. They also appear under Poly Focus Assist in the game's Key Bindings screen. - Optional mouseover key: Polymorph whatever your cursor is over, independent of the stored target. Entirely optional.
Slash commands
Everything is available on the frame itself, so you never need a slash command.

Known limits (please read)
- Targeting is by mob name. The game can't target a specific mob by ID during combat, so if several mobs share a name, the game picks one of them and it may not be the one you stored. The optional mouseover key avoids this.
- Set, Clear and form changes need to be out of combat. WoW doesn't allow secure macros to be rewritten mid-fight. If you change the form in combat, it applies when combat ends.
- Showing, hiding, moving and resizing the frame are also blocked in combat and are applied afterwards. Your Poly and Target keys still work while the frame is hidden.
- Classic Era only (1.15.x). Not tested on Season of Discovery, Hardcore realms or other Classic versions.
Troubleshooting
- Frame not visible? Click the minimap button, or type
/pf reset. - Wrong Polymorph form? Type
/pf debugand post the output when you report a bug. - Keys not firing? Check them with
/pf keysand make sure no other addon uses the same key.
Bug reports and ideas are welcome. Please include the output of /pf debug and any Lua error text.
