How It Works: The Smart Way

PIAS's philosophy is simple: you're not assigning an item, you're assigning a location.

The One-Time Setup: Teach PIAS Your Macros (20 seconds)

1. Open the PIAS Macro Viewer (/pias list). It automatically finds all your gear-swapping macros.
2. Find an item in a macro you want to manage, like [Lionheart Helm].
3. Right-click [Lionheart Helm] inside the viewer.
4. From the dropdown, assign it to the appropriate PIAS Box (e.g., "ALT1" for your main helm).

That's it. You've just taught PIAS that "this specific spot in this macro belongs to my 'ALT1' box."

The Payoff: One-Click Updates, Forever

Now, when you get a new helmet:

1. Drag your new [Helm of Wrath] onto the "ALT1" box in the PIAS Panel (/pias).
2. Done.

PIAS instantly goes to that exact location you assigned in every relevant macro and replaces whatever was there with [Helm of Wrath]. It doesn't matter what the old item was. It only cares about the assigned slot.
