PetMatch-1.24.0
What's new
PetMatch 1.24.0 Changelog
New: Profile Management
PetMatch now supports multiple profiles, allowing you to manage separate teams, settings, and preferences for different characters or playstyles.
New features:
- Create Profiles – Create new profiles with independent teams and settings.
- Switch Profiles – Easily switch between profiles using the dropdown menu.
- Rename Profiles – Rename existing profiles.
- Delete Profiles – Delete profiles with a confirmation prompt to prevent accidental data loss.
- Copy From – Copy all data from another profile into your currently selected profile. A confirmation warning will appear before any existing data is overwritten.
- Character-Specific Profiles – Each character can use its own selected profile.
- Blizzard Settings Integration – Manage profiles through Options → AddOns → PetMatch.
- Localization – Profile management is available in the addon's supported languages.
The Default profile cannot be renamed or deleted through the interface.
!! Important Notice for Existing Users !!
Some users may have a translated name for their original Default profile due to previous localization behavior.
If your existing teams or settings appear to be missing after updating, do not delete or overwrite any profiles.
- Open Options → AddOns → PetMatch.
- Check the Select Profile dropdown to see whether your original profile is listed under a translated name.
- If you find it, verify that your teams and settings are still available.
If your original profile is not listed or cannot be accessed correctly, you may need to manually correct the profile name in your SavedVariables file.
Manual fix:
- Completely exit World of Warcraft.
- Navigate to:
World of Warcraft/_retail_/WTF/Account/<YourAccount>/SavedVariables/ - Make a backup of your
PetMatch.luafile. - Open
PetMatch.luain a text editor. - Locate
PetMatchDB["profiles"](or the equivalent["profiles"]table). - Find your original profile stored under a translated name and rename its key to exactly
"Default". - Check the
["profileKeys"]table and update any character references using the old translated name to"Default". - Save the file and restart World of Warcraft.
Important: Do not replace or overwrite an existing "Default" profile. If both the translated profile and "Default" already exist, make a backup and verify which profile contains your original data before making any changes.
Profile names are now handled consistently, with Default used as the internal name of the default profile.
