Hello fellow collectors!
I am an amateur developer, and this is the second addon I have ever created. I built this primarily to solve my own collection headache, but I'm excited to share it with the community!
❌ The Old HeadacheChecking external price websites is great, but their data is laggy and relies on hourly API snapshots. By the time an extreme discount shows up on a website, it is usually already bought. On the other hand, standard "sniper" addons are massive, bloated, and built for flippers. |
✅ The PetAHFinder WayIt operates natively inside your Auction House in real-time, scanning only the tradeable companion pets you are missing. By comparing the cheapest price to the second cheapest, it instantly flags anomalies (deep discounts) the millisecond they are queried. |
| 🧠 Smart Filter | Automatically scans your Pet Journal on login, filters out untradeable pets (wild pets, quest rewards), and keeps a clean database of only the tradeable, cageable pets you still need. This keeps your search database incredibly small and fast. |
| 🔎 Anomaly Detection | No heavy historical pricing databases required. The addon compares the cheapest listing to the second cheapest listing. If the gap is huge (e.g., a pet is listed for 24k when the next cheapest is 55k), it flags it! |
| 🗂️ Native Docked Tab | Integrates directly as a clean, custom tab at the bottom of your Auction House frame. It automatically waits for all other addons to load and docks itself at the very end of the row, avoiding layout conflicts. |
| 💬 Interactive Links | Displays found deals with green savings calculations (e.g., 56% savings) and interactive Rare-quality pet links. Left-click to open the standard tooltip, Shift-click to link the pet in chat, or Right-click to instantly switch tabs and search for the pet in the Auction House! |

Log In & Auto-Scan Simply log into the game. You'll see a brief, silent message in your chat frame confirming your missing cageable collection has been scanned and recorded. |

Initial Setup (Highly Recommended) Before running your first scan, open your game settings (ESC) -> Options -> AddOns -> PetAHFinder and configure your limits:

Open Pet Finder Tab Open the Auction House and click the "Pet Finder" tab safely integrated next to the standard/Auctionator tabs at the bottom-right. |

Scan & Buy Instantly Click "Scan Missing". Deals will output in real-time. Simply Right-click any deal in your log to automatically switch back to the native Blizzard "Buy" tab, paste the pet's name, and execute the search so you can purchase it instantly! |
I believe the best addons in World of Warcraft are the ones that follow the golden rule of software development: "Do one thing, and do it well."
Many modern addons fall into the trap of becoming a "jack of all trades, master of none." They try to solve every single problem in the game at once, which inevitably leads to massive memory usage, background lag, and cluttered, confusing interfaces that you have to spend hours configuring.
My goal as a developer is the exact opposite. When you download one of my addons, I promise you three things:
