Pet Duel

Pet Duel is a PvP pet battle addon for Mists of Pandaria Classic.

The main purpose of the addon is to make it easier for players to challenge each other directly instead of relying only on Blizzard’s random matchmaking queue. It adds several ways to start a duel and includes extra features for players and guilds that want to organize their own pet battle community.

Challenge Other Players

You can challenge another player through:

• The target frame

• The player right-click menu

• The minimap button

• A key binding

• /petduel

• /pduel

The basic pet battle challenge can still work when the other player does not have Pet Duel installed. However, both players will need the addon for features such as rated matches and confirmed results.

Pet Duel Hub

The main window includes several sections for managing your duels.

Duel

Challenge your current target, join Blizzard’s random PvP pet battle queue, or choose whether your next direct battle will be casual or rated.

You can also set an availability status so other Pet Duel users know what type of battle you are looking for:

• Ready

• Casual

• Competitive

• Away

Players

See other Pet Duel users who have been detected through your guild, group, or current target.

From this page, you can view their rating and availability or quickly challenge or whisper them.

History

Your recent pet battles are recorded so you can review:

• Wins and losses

• Opponents

• Battle duration

• Rematches

• Forfeits

• Current streak

• Longest streak

• Daily performance

Rivals

Players you battle repeatedly are added to your rivalry history.

This section shows your head-to-head record, total battles, recent results, and current streak against each rival.

Guild League

Guild members can use rated battles to compete on a shared pet battle ladder.

The guild league tracks:

• Rating

• Wins and losses

• Total rated battles

• Guild ranking

• Confirmed match results

League information is shared between guild members who have Pet Duel installed.

Rated Match Confirmation

Rated results are only counted when both players report the same winner.

When the results match, the duel is confirmed and added to the guild standings. When the reports do not match, the battle is marked as disputed and does not affect either player’s rating.

This helps prevent one player from changing the standings with an incorrect or false result.

Notes

Pet Duel is currently designed for World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria Classic.

Direct pet battles cannot be started inside areas where Blizzard normally blocks them, including dungeons, raids, battlegrounds, and arenas.

Ratings and battle history are stored by character. Guild league standings are also separate for each guild.

Pet Duel is still being developed, so additional features and improvements may be added in future updates.
