Perchance PSK Client

The Perchance PSK Client is a client to view a KSK-style loot distribution system for raiding in World of Warcraft Classic.  It allows players with the PSK Loot Master addon installed to view updates to loot standings, loot drops, and active bids/rolls in real time, as broadcast by the Loot Master.

As a user of this client, you will always know exactly where you stand in the PSK Loot standings lists, as well as who is bidding against you on items you might want.  This contrasts with the standard "secret bidding" of KSK style loot distribution and is more transparent.  For example:

• As epic and legendary loot is dropped, the Loot Master broadcasts this to all clients.
• When the Loot Master addon initiates a bidding window, players can bid on an item.
• As bids are placed and recorded by the Loot Master, it broadcasts the bids list to all clients.
• Additionally, as each bid is broadcast, it includes the players position in the list, sorted lowest to highest.
• The PSK Client then displays the list of bids in the Bids windows.
• As loot is awarded and the Main/Tier list standings changes, the client updates in real time to show these changes.

This is especially good for players who don't want to stare at a spreadsheet and go through a list of names, or for players who are in standby but not in the raid: they can still see what's being dropped and bid on, as well as the changes to the standings.

How it works:

• Due to the nature of how WoW throttles GUILD and RAID channels, pings are sent by the Loot Master across the GUILD channel.  
• Any client who receives this going will respond with an acknowledgement (like a 3-way TCP handshake) over the WHISPER channel with their name and time. 
• The Loot Master will broadcast list updates (mentioned above) over WHISPER. 
• If a client hasn't been heard from in 5 minutes, it will remove that player name from the broadcast list.
