What's new
1.6: Announcements, Light's Vigil tracker and pre-pull checklist
Everything new since 1.5.
New: Announce tab
- Spell announcements: tells your group in chat when you use an important spell, for example "Blessing of Protection on Garrosh!". It's off until you switch it on.
- Choose the spells:
- Ticked to start with: Blessing of Protection, Lay on Hands, Divine Intervention.
- Optional: Blessing of Freedom, Blessing of Sacrifice, Divine Shield, Templar's Bulwark, Light's Vigil, Hammer of Justice, Repentance.
- Channel: automatic (raid, instance group or party), party, raid, say or yell.
- Your own message: write it with {spell} and {target}. Spells you cast on yourself say "on me".
- When you're not in a group, the message only shows in your own chat, so you can test it safely.
New: Holy tab
- Light's Vigil tracker: a movable icon showing who has your Light's Vigil and how long is left, with their name under the icon.
- It clears when you Holy Shock that target (which uses it up), when you cast it again, or when it runs out.
- Click to target: with Lock position on, click the icon to target that person. The game doesn't let addons change this during combat, so if you move Light's Vigil to someone new mid-fight, the click catches up when combat ends.
- Optional:
- Pulse in the last 5 seconds.
- Play a sound if it runs out unused.
New: Checklist tab
- Pre-pull checklist: a movable, resizable row of icons showing what you're missing before a pull. Each icon disappears as soon as you fix it.
- Checks: your aura, Righteous Fury (only while you're tanking) and a blessing. You can also turn on checks for a seal, food (Well Fed) and a flask or elixir.
- Hidden in combat, while resting in cities and inns, and when you're dead.
- Optional:
- Show it only in dungeons and raids.
- Keep it up during combat.
- Same layout options as the other icon rows: size, spacing, icons per row, direction, centring and snapping.
Cooldowns tab
- Reorder your cooldowns: pick a cooldown under Icon order and move it earlier or later in the row. Turn on Show Test Icons to watch the row change as you go. You can reset to the default order at any time. Your order is saved per profile and included in profile export/import.
- New cooldowns:
- Holy: Voice of Truth, Light's Vigil (off by default)
- Protection: Swift Judgement
- Ready message: a new option under "When a big cooldown is ready" shows a message on screen, such as "Divine Shield ready", using the warning text. You can limit it to combat only.
Warning text
- The combat warnings ("No Paladin aura active!" and the others) can now be moved and resized.
- Go to General > Warning text: change the text size, then click Move warning text and drag the sample text where you want it. It snaps to the screen centre, and you can reset its position.
Blessings tab
- The blessing expiry warning now defaults to 5 minutes before it runs out (was 1 minute). Profiles you already have keep their current setting.
Other changes
- Other game languages: seals, auras, blessings and spells are now recognised on game clients in any language, not just English. Announcements use your game's spell names. The checklist's food and flask checks still need an English client.
- Seal and Righteous Fury in combat: when either runs out during a fight, the bar now clears and your warning sound plays straight away. Previously both waited until combat ended.
- The Tank tab is now called Protection.
- New command:
/patk idsopens a box listing the spell IDs the addon uses, ready to copy. If a spell isn't recognised on your game client, sending me this list helps me fix it.
