# OwlCall 🦉

**Know when to burn your cooldowns – and when to save them.**

OwlCall tells you when to use your cooldowns in **Black Temple** and **Mount Hyjal**: burn them on trash when they will be back in time, or save them for the next boss. For the raid leader and assists it also **calls Bloodlust / Heroism** at the right moment: in the right phase and with the raid's debuffs on the boss. The call can be sent straight to your Shamans.

## Features

### Cooldown advice (all nine classes)
- A small bar shows your cooldowns, trinkets and boss potions with a clear advice: **USE** now, **READY** for the next pull, or **SAVE** for the boss.
- Knows how long the trash before each boss usually takes, so it only tells you to burn a cooldown on trash if it is back in time for the boss.
- Long cooldowns (e.g. Recklessness, Fire Elemental Totem) are saved for the bosses you mark as priority.
- Potions match your class and spec.
- Minimal mode: only show what you should press right now.

### Bloodlust call (raid leader and assists)
- Watches the boss debuffs and says **LUST NOW!** when everything your raid plays is up – with a time limit, so it never waits for a debuff that won't come.
- Only waits for debuffs your raid actually uses (it learns them on trash): Sunder Armor / Improved Expose Armor, Faerie Fire, curses, Blood Frenzy, Mangle, Expose Weakness, Hunter's Mark, Misery, Shadow Weaving, Improved Scorch, Judgement of the Crusader.
- Knows the right moment on each boss, for example:
  - **Reliquary of Souls:** phase 3
  - **Illidan:** after he lands in phase 3
  - **Gurtogg Bloodboil:** first Fel Rage
  - **Shade of Akama:** when the Shade becomes attackable
  - **Illidari Council:** never waits for Expose Armor
  - **Mount Hyjal:** once the boss has walked in and reached the raid
- The call can be sent automatically to every Shaman with OwlCall – no more calling it in voice.
- **"Lust soon!"** heads-up about 3 seconds before the last debuff lands (needs a Rogue with OwlRogue, which reports when Expose Armor will land).
- `/owl lust log` shows what happened on every pull.

### Learned times
- OwlCall measures how long your raid needs for each trash section and boss, and gets more accurate every week.
- **Mount Hyjal:** reads the in-game wave counter and learns how fast you clear each wave (the next wave comes early when you kill the current one fast).
- Sections OwlCall has never seen are only **measured** – no guessed timers, no bad advice.
- Timing profiles: your guild's times by default, or separate profiles for other groups.
- Progress view: see how your trash and boss times change from raid to raid.

### Guild sharing
- Learned times are shared automatically with everyone in your guild who has OwlCall. New members and alts start with your guild's times right away.
- **Sync** tab: where your times come from, and who in your group has which OwlCall version. Shamans without OwlCall are marked, because they won't get the Bloodlust call.

### Sounds and sound packs
- Pick a sound for every event: Bloodlust call, "Lust soon!", Bloodlust cast, "use a cooldown now".
- **Sound packs** are small separate addons, perfect for your guild's own voice clips that you don't want to publish. OwlCall finds them automatically. If a guild member has a newer version of your pack, OwlCall tells you in chat.

## Getting started
1. Install OwlCall and enter Black Temple or Mount Hyjal.
2. The owl asks which timing profile to use. The raid leader also chooses whether the Shamans get the Bloodlust call.
3. Click the owl at the minimap (or type `/owl menu`) for all settings.

## Creating a sound pack
A sound pack is an addon folder with a `.toc`, your `.ogg` / `.mp3` files and a small Lua file that adds the pack to the global list `OwlCallSoundPacks` (name, version, sounds, optional default sounds for events). The format is described at the top of `OwlCallSounds.lua`.
