OmniPet: The Bond Update (v1.1)
Tired of grinding alone? OmniPet adds a living 3D companion to your UI that doesn't just sit there—it grows with you. Version 1.1 introduces the Bond System, transforming your pet from a simple widget into a long-term journey.
🌟 New in Version 1.1: The Bond Update!
We have completely overhauled how you interact with your pets, moving from a simple survival timer to a deep, rewarding RPG progression system:
- The Bond System (Levels 1–10): Earn XP through active care. Every level brings you closer to your pet and unlocks permanent rewards.
- Drag-and-Drop Feeding: Simply Lock the frame, grab a consumable from your bags, and drop it directly onto your pet. Watch as green +XP text floats up to celebrate the meal!
- Refined Palates (2x XP): Every pet has a "Favorite Food." Feed the right item (like Scrolls for MiiMii or Potions for Ada) to get double XP and a special gold chat celebration.
- Interactive Chat & Tooltips: Your pet now "talks" to you! From gold chat announcements when they level up to custom tooltips with "Flavor Text" stories, your companion feels more alive than ever.
- Level-Up Celebrations: Crossing a Bond Level triggers an epic loot jingle and a server-wide (to you!) announcement of your achievement.
- Daily Cravings: Your pet now has a daily "Craving" (e.g., Potions or Food & Drink). Feeding their craving grants 3x XP and a special celebration! Check the XP bar tooltip to see today's craving.
🌎 Infinite Worlds & Custom Models
- Unlockable Backgrounds: As you level up your Bond, you permanently unlock 5 Legendary Backgrounds (including Twilight Cavern, Volcanic Stone, and Celestial Void) that can be used for any pet in your collection.
- NPC Importer (Wowhead): Want a specific boss or rare mob as your companion? Simply paste a Wowhead NPC URL into the Appearance tab to import almost any creature from Azeroth directly into your frame!
- Custom Home Biomes: Every default pet now features a hand-crafted environment—from Ada’s Garden to Mongo Bongo’s Jungle.
🎨 Total UI Control
- Modern Slate Dashboard: A fully redesigned settings panel with three sleek tabs. Use the new sliders to perfectly tune Background Opacity, Model Size, and Window Size.
- Floating Mode: Hide the frame and border for a "model-only" look that blends seamlessly into your custom UI.
- Smart Interactions: Your pet enters a combat stance when you fight, reacts when you mount, and produces hearts when petted.
OmniPet brings a true Tamagotchi-style virtual pet minigame directly to your World of Warcraft UI.

Update v1.4: The Interactive Update
- Smarter Minimap Tooltip: Hovering the minimap icon now shows your pet’s name, status, and exactly how many minutes of happiness are left.
- Daily Cravings: Your pet now has a daily "Craving" (e.g., Potions or Food & Drink). Feeding their craving grants 3x XP and a special celebration! Check the XP bar tooltip to see today's craving.
- Visual Edit Mode: When the frame is unlocked, it now features a soft red border. The addon will now alert you with a sound and error message if you try to feed/pet while in Edit Mode.
- "Keep on Top" Option: A new setting in the Advanced tab allows you to keep OmniPet visible even when opening large UI windows like the World Map.
Update v1.3: Interactive Onboarding
Built-in tutorial popups will now guide you through the Pet Care tab so you know exactly how to feed and level up your companion.
Update v1.2: Quality of Life Polish
We are keeping the improvements rolling with updated dashboard features:
1. Live Happiness Timer: A countdown now sits right under your pet's status, so you never have to guess when it is time to feed them.
2. Clearer Unlocks: The Background dropdown now uses a sleek, native WoW "Key" icon to clearly show which epic environments you are working to unlock.
