OmniBindings - Forever v2.0

Version 2.0 marks a major evolution for OmniBindings - Forever.

Since V1.0, the addon has gained new binding management tools, deeper integration with the Blizzard interface, and major stability and performance improvements.

Major new features since V1.0

New binding management tabs

Two new tabs have been added to extend binding management beyond OmniBindings' own custom bindings.

They make it possible to view and edit a much wider range of in-game keybindings directly from the addon interface.

Blizzard action bar management

OmniBindings can now analyze the game's action bars and display the spells and actions currently placed in each slot.

This makes it possible to quickly identify the bindings associated with actions already present on Blizzard action bars.

Spell search within action bars

A search feature has been added to help locate spells and actions across your action bars.

Instead of manually browsing every slot, OmniBindings can now help you find where a spell is located and which bindings are associated with it.

Spell rank detection

Version 2.0 also introduces spell rank detection and display.

This feature was not available in earlier versions and provides more accurate spell management on WoW versions where multiple ranks of the same spell can coexist.

Blizzard keybinding integration

OmniBindings now communicates directly with Blizzard's keybinding system.

Changes made through OmniBindings are synchronized with the game's bindings, with conflict handling, saving, and rollback protection in case something goes wrong.

The addon also takes account-wide and character-specific binding sets into consideration, as well as changes made through the Blizzard interface.

Stability and performance improvements

Version 2.0 also includes a major internal optimization pass:

• reduced unnecessary scans and UI refreshes;

• optimized Blizzard binding handling;

• improved keybinding conflict management;

• safer binding changes and rollback handling;

• improved mouseover binding behavior;

• better compatibility with UnitFrames and other addons;

• reduced processing on party and raid frames;

• improved macro handling;

• improved SavedVariables management;

• better synchronization with action bars;

• improved stability during combat, group changes, and specialization changes.

Memory usage

Memory usage has also been tested and optimized.

In-game measurements:

• around 725 KB after login;

• around 860 KB after opening OmniBindings;

• around 1.52 MB after browsing through all tabs;

• around 1.51 MB after 10 full open/close cycles.

Memory usage remains stable even after repeated use of the interface.
