Olympus Style — ØLŸMÞÜS

Give Olympus a signature that stands out.

Olympus Style automatically replaces recognized references to Olympus with ØLŸMÞÜS in supported outgoing messages. Type normally and let the add-on apply the styling before you send.

It changes the outgoing text—not just your local chat display—so other players do not need the add-on installed to see the styled message.

You type:
Olympus is recruiting! Whisper Oly for details.

Your outgoing message:
ØLŸMÞÜS is recruiting! Whisper ØLŸMÞÜS for details.

Smart matching, without rewriting everything

Matching is case-insensitive and recognizes Olympus, Oly, Olym, Olymp, and a curated selection of spelling variants. Add or remove aliases to match the names and abbreviations your group actually uses.

Whole-word matching leaves unrelated words such as holy, polymorph, and OlympusBank unchanged. Already-styled ØLŸMÞÜS stays exactly as it is.

Whisper recipients, URLs, email addresses, game hyperlinks, and recognized identifiers are protected from replacement.

Olympus Style does not collect chat histories, rewrite incoming messages, automatically resend messages, or require external libraries.

Getting started

Install the OlympusStyle folder in your Classic client’s Interface/AddOns directory, enable the add-on, and enter:

/olympusstyle

Automatic formatting is enabled by default for supported Blizzard chat input. Use the settings window to adjust channels, edit aliases, and preview the result.

To preview without sending:

/olympusstyle preview Olympus and Oly are recruiting.

To leave your next eligible chat message unchanged:

/olympusstyle bypass

For user-activated macros:

/olysend guild Olympus is recruiting.
/olysend whisper Character-Realm Hello from Oly.

Replace Character-Realm with the intended recipient. WoW’s normal messaging restrictions still apply.

Optional experimental integrations

Additional integrations are available for direct chat APIs, in-game mail subjects and bodies, guild MOTD/information/member notes, and Battle.net custom status.

These integrations are off by default. They modify additional API paths and may conflict with protected actions or other add-ons. Enable and test them individually after reading the included README.

Enabling an integration does not itself send mail, publish a status, or change existing guild information. It formats supported text when a subsequent action submits it.

To disable all experimental integrations, then remove their wrappers by reloading:

/olympusstyle safe
/reload

Compatibility and beta status

This beta includes manifests targeting Classic Era, Burning Crusade Anniversary, and Mists of Pandaria Classic. Retail is not a supported target.

The build has passed automated offline tests using simulated game APIs. Actual in-game delivery, glyph rendering, protected-action behavior, and compatibility with other add-ons still require live-client testing.

Normal chat-box formatting does not automatically intercept every macro or third-party messaging add-on. Olympus Style does not rename characters or guilds, modify recipient identities, or guarantee coverage of every player-visible text field.

No silent truncation: When styling would exceed a configured text-length guard, the original text is left unchanged with a local warning. Messages are not automatically split or resent, so an overlong message may retain its unstylized spelling.

When reporting a problem, include the add-on version, Classic client build, affected channel, enabled integrations, other relevant add-ons, and the output of:

/olympusstyle status

Use a minimal, nonprivate example. Do not include account credentials or private conversations.
