To randomly select a mount, mouseover the icon and press alt + ctrl.
Hold in shift to select a ground mount instead of the smart select.

Known bugs:

 - visual issues with the button's glow effect while the displayed mount is cast / cancelled
 - the random button doesn't work and will always be the same as the selected button.
