NyariThreat-0.5.0
What's new
Nyari Threat
0.5.0
- Threat lead for tanks: in a party, while you hold a mob, the bar turns blue from the left as you pull ahead of the next player's threat, and is fully blue at twice their threat. It works in combat too. Turn it off under Tank, Threat lead.
- The tank colors switch is now Tank mode at the top of the Tank page: Auto, On or Off. Your choice carries over.
- Fixed: setting names and the window title could be blank in the settings window the first time it opened.
0.4.2
- Fixed: with EllesmereUI nameplates, a threat bar could cover the whole screen from the start of a fight until the mob died. The game doesn't let addons measure nameplates in combat, so placing the bar under EllesmereUI's cast bar failed partway. The cast bar's size is now measured out of combat, and a bar that can't be placed stays hidden.
0.4.1
- Lighter in big pulls. A change in your own threat standing no longer redraws every nameplate each time; each mob's plate already redraws when its threat changes, and a full redraw runs at most once a second as a safety net.
- The aggro name under a nameplate is only set again when it changes.
0.4.0
- The glow around mobs that need attention is a soft edge now instead of a hard orange box, and pulses more gently.
- Every setting can be changed from chat, like
/nt height 6or/nt flash off./nt helplists them all with their current values. /nt statusshows whether the addon is active, how many nameplates have bars, and the last error, for bug reports.- A saved setting that's out of range now goes back to its default instead of breaking the bar.
- Settings moved to the shared Nyari window, on four pages (General, Look, Colors, Tank) with sliders, a search box and a "Sample bars" button. Settings that depend on another one are dimmed while it's off.
- New addon icon.
- Works with EllesmereUI and ElvUI nameplates: the bar lines up with their health bar, and under EllesmereUI a bar set below sits under the cast bar instead of covering it.
- New setting for EllesmereUI and ElvUI nameplates, which color themselves by threat: show everything, skip the glow (the default), or stand down there.
- Bars that attached before their nameplate finished drawing now move into place on the next redraw.
- While the game hides exact threat in combat, tanks no longer see off-tanked mobs glow or named as loose, and the bar turns purple for them, on game versions that allow it.
- When the game hides exact threat, a part that can't follow it turns off quietly on that nameplate, and the chat note is plain English.
/nt statussays how many nameplates have threat hidden and which nameplate addon drew them. - Setting descriptions say which features are limited while the game hides exact threat.
- "Flash from" is now "Flash and glow from", and stays usable with the flash off, since it also sets when the glow lights.
- Auto colors check your spec before your queued role, so a tank who switched to a damage spec gets damage colors.
- Sample bars turn off when a fight starts and can't be turned on in combat.
- An unknown
/ntcommand lists the commands instead of opening the settings. - Opacity is typed as a percentage, like
/nt alpha 60, and/nt helpshows its range as 20% to 100%.
0.3.3 and earlier
- A threat bar under or over enemy nameplates that fills as your threat rises, fading from green to red for damage and healers.
- Tank colors: green while you hold aggro, yellow to red as you lose it, purple when another tank has it.
- A glowing outline on mobs that need attention, and the name of who a loose mob is attacking.
- Flash at high threat, an optional warning sound, and "only loose mobs" for tanks.
- Works while the game hides exact threat numbers in combat, in 10% steps.
/nt testshows sample bars to adjust the look out of combat.
