What's new

Sound was rebuilt, and the addon joined nugsSuite.

It used to play one cue for everything, which told you that something was ready but not what — so you still had to look, and the cue only bought you the glance.

  • A cue per ability. Set Cue to "one per ability", then use the new Sounds face of the abilities pane to give each tracked ability its own. "One for everything" is still there and is still the default.
  • Anything you have not assigned a cue to pulses silently, which makes sound a whitelist: picking a cue is how you say this one matters.
  • When several cooldowns come up together, the highest-priority one voices the batch. Playing all of them is a crash rather than a cue, and staggering them is a little tune every pull. This reuses the pulse priority list, so the sound and the icon always agree about what mattered most.
  • LibSharedMedia sound packs are picked up automatically, exactly as fonts already were. The built-in cues are still there and nothing depends on LSM being installed.
  • Cues are chosen from a scrolling list that plays each one as you click it, instead of a button you clicked repeatedly to cycle.
  • The custom-file box is gone. It asked you to install a file by hand and type its exact path; an LSM pack does the same job by just being installed. /ncp sound file still works for anyone who wants it.

Also: appears in nugsSuite, so it can be opened from there and its settings travel in a suite profile. The suite is optional and nothing here depends on it.
