NoTargetTantrum /ntt

Customizable text and sound alerts for why your abilities aren't casting in the heat of the moment.

This addon's most basic form exists because of current buggy target drops, and aims to help you notice this, or other casting failures by providing text and/or sound alerts.

Triggers

• No Target
• Not Facing Target
• Out of Range
• Not in Line of Sight

Each has its own text and its own sound or text-to-speech line. Switch off any you don't want.

Features

• Sounds from any SharedMedia pack or the Cooldown Manager, or the game's TTS voice.
• Catches abilities that give no error at all when pressed with no target.
• Ability filter: alert only for the spells you pick from your spellbook.
• Allow alerts by instance type, and mute them in vehicles, while resting, or by combat state.
• Optionally hides Blizzard's red error line for the messages it handles.
• Drag the alert anywhere. Font, size, colour, and outline are configurable.

Commands

• /ntt — open or close the options
• /ntt test — fire the No Target alert
• /ntt unlock, /ntt lock — drag the alert into place
• /ntt toggle — master switch
• /ntt reset — back to defaults

Notes

Fonts and sounds come from LibSharedMedia. TTS uses the voices installed in your client.

Some target drops can be fixed with:

• Enabling Sticky Keys in WoW client settings
• Changing/Removing keybindings for targeting friendly units
