Description
Noctis Guides
Step-by-step leveling routes for WoW Classic Era 1.15.9, with automatic step tracking, an on-screen navigation arrow, and the route drawn across your map as a dotted trail.
Routes for both factions, 1 to 60, are included. Fourteen route files ship inside the addon, and the route is chosen from your race and level.
What it does
- Follows a route step by step and moves on by itself when it detects the work is done: quests accepted, turned in or abandoned, objectives, items, level, XP, or simply arriving somewhere.
- Draws the route on the world map and the minimap as a numbered trail of dots, so you can see the shape of the run instead of one point at a time. The trail carries on past the edge of the minimap toward waypoints that are out of view.
- Points an on-screen arrow at the current step with live distance. It has a target for quest steps and grinding circuits too, not only for hand-written waypoints.
- Pins the current step in a box with your last finished steps checked off above it.
- Shows live objective counters on the step, so you can see how far along you are without opening the quest log.
- Offers to fast-forward a character who is already past the start of a route.
- Round buttons on the world map and on the navigation HUD turn the route display off and on from wherever you are looking.
Works with what you already have
If Questie is installed, Noctis Guides reads it for quest names, objectives and locations, so steps read in plain names and the arrow has somewhere to point even where the route did not write a coordinate. It is entirely optional, and no quest database is bundled.
Hardcore
Every bundled route is written for Hardcore rules. On a realm without them the addon turns its own Hardcore filter on so the routes still load, and you can set it yourself in the Guides panel.
Writing your own routes
The route format is documented in WRITING_ROUTES.md, which lists every directive the engine implements. /maguide capture and /maguide record write route lines from where you are standing, so coordinates never have to be transcribed by hand. Route packs install like any other addon and register themselves with the engine.
Requirements
- Required: MissionAccomplished: Core
- Optional: MissionAccomplished: Suite, for unified menus and settings
- Optional: Questie, for quest names and derived locations
Open it with /maguide, or from the MissionAccomplished suite window. /maguide routes reports every route the engine loaded and any it rejected.
Compatibility: WoW Classic Era 1.15.9 (Interface 11509).
