Remember when finding a quest objective meant actually reading the quest description, looking at your map, and exploring the world?

No Quest Hints — Forever is a lightweight addon for World of Warcraft: Forever, designed for players who want a more immersive, exploration-focused questing experience.

Instead of following glowing areas, objective markers, and navigation arrows, you're encouraged to pay attention to the world around you and discover your destination yourself.

No more following dots. Just you, your quest journal, and Azeroth.

Features

When enabled, the addon attempts to hide Blizzard's built-in quest guidance:

• World Map: Quest objective markers and highlighted objective areas.
• Minimap: Quest objective areas and related visual hints.
• Navigation: In-game navigation guidance pointing toward quest objectives.

What stays unchanged?

• The normal world map and its geography.
• Your quest journal and quest descriptions.
• Quest availability indicators above NPCs.
• The regular on-screen quest tracker.
• Compatibility with quest voiceover addons.

The goal is simple: remove the directions, not the adventure.

Commands

Control the addon through three simple chat commands:

Per-Character Settings

Your preferences are saved separately for each character.

Want to explore Azeroth without guidance on your main character, but keep the standard questing experience on an alt? No problem.

• New characters start with the addon disabled.
• Your preference persists between sessions.
• The addon accounts for shared game settings when switching characters.
• When disabled, the addon stops enforcing its changes and returns control to the game's interface.

Lightweight by Design

No configuration windows, unnecessary dependencies, or complicated setup.

The addon uses Blizzard's native configuration APIs where available and avoids replacing the game's map or quest interface.

Compatibility

Designed specifically for World of Warcraft: Forever.

This is an early release. The addon uses known Blizzard console variables, but their exact behavior in the released Forever client is still being validated.

Some quest hints may remain visible depending on client support. Markers created by other addons are not affected.
