No Focus Warning

Never walk into a boss pull without a focus target set again.

No Focus Warning is a lightweight addon that keeps you honest about your focus target. If you enter a dungeon or raid instance without a focus assigned, a bold, flashing on-screen alert lets you know immediately — no more realizing mid-pull that your focus macros are doing nothing.

Features

• Instance-aware detection — Only activates inside dungeons and raids. It stays out of your way everywhere else (open world, battlegrounds, arenas, garrison, etc.).
• Impossible to miss — A large red "NO FOCUS TARGET SET!" message pulses on screen for as long as the condition is true, so it won't get lost in the noise of raid frames and combat text.
• Automatic — set it and forget it — Once enabled, it checks your focus status automatically whenever you zone into an instance, change zones, or set/clear your focus. No manual checks needed.
• One-click minimap toggle — A minimap button (positioned just outside the ring, so it doesn't crowd your other icons) lets you enable or disable the addon instantly. The icon dims when disabled so you can tell its state at a glance.
• Slash command support — Prefer the keyboard? Type /nfw or /nofocuswarning to toggle the addon on or off.
• Persistent settings — Your enabled/disabled preference and minimap button position are both saved between sessions.
• Zero configuration required — Install it and it works. No settings panel to dig through.

Why use it?

Many classes and specs lean on a focus target for interrupts, dispels, crowd control, or tracking a specific enemy healer or add. It's an easy thing to forget to set — especially after a wipe, a group reshuffle, or hopping between alts. No Focus Warning gives you a clear, unmissable nudge the moment you're in content where it actually matters, so you can fix it before the pull starts rather than realizing halfway through.

How it works

The addon watches for:

• Entering or moving between zones
• Setting or clearing your focus target
• Group roster changes

Whenever one of these happens (plus a periodic background check as a safety net), it re-evaluates three conditions:

1. Are you inside a party (dungeon) or raid instance?
2. Is the addon currently enabled?
3. Do you have no focus target set?

If all three are true, the warning appears and flashes until you set a focus target, leave the instance, or disable the addon. The moment any condition changes, the warning disappears automatically.
