What's new

Version 2.0.32 - Camera settings, Party XP, button wells that fit the theme

Restart the game after updating (new files and a new key binding). A /reload is not enough.

NEW
- Settings > Camera. The game's own camera settings on one page: maximum distance (dragging the slider zooms out so you can see it, then the camera comes back), zoom speed, turn speed, look up and down speed, and Motion comfort (the game's two motion sickness options in one switch). Presets: Close, Standard and Far.
    - Measure my maximum finds how far this client really lets the camera go (about 50 yards on WoW Forever, where the game's own slider stops at 30) without changing your saved settings. The slider and the Far preset then reach that maximum.
    - Restore my camera puts back the settings you had the first time NetherUI looked at them (your own values, never the game's defaults).
    - New key binding Hold to look far out: the camera zooms all the way out while the key is held and comes back when you let go.
    - With DynamicCam or Max Camera Distance loaded, the page says so and a one-time popup warns that it may undo these settings.
- Party XP. A thin XP bar under each party member's frame (their level, how far along and how much is left on its tooltip) for party members whose NetherUI shares theirs. Sharing yours is off until you turn on Settings > Unit frames > Share my XP with my party: then only your level and experience go only to your party (never your guild or a raid), as it changes by a twentieth of a level, at most every 5 seconds, never in combat or instances.
- Share my NetherUI version (Settings > Addons, on to start): turn it off and NetherUI sends nothing to anyone, not even its version number. You still hear about new versions from players who share theirs.
- Fonts & Sounds. With NetherUI_Media installed, NetherUI's text follows your choices in NetherSuite > Fonts & Sounds (the fonts for text, titles and numbers, the text size, outline and shadow) at once, and the family's master mute silences its sounds. Nothing changes until you choose something.
- NetherCamera, the family's one camera writer, shared with Campfire Chronicles. An addon that borrows the camera for a moment does it through the game's temporary settings, so your own settings are never changed, and everything borrowed is given back at logout and /reload.
- Loot and roll windows: with NetherGear installed, "upgrade" means better for your talent spec, not just a higher item level.

FOR THEME AND ADDON AUTHORS
- Themes can fit the dark well behind action and bag buttons: buttonWellInset (UI units) pulls the well in under a border painted with a margin, and buttonWellAlpha (0-1) sets how see-through the action-button well is. Both follow theme switches; themes that set neither look as before.
- Themes can move the ornate window frame: ornateOutset (UI units, default 12) sets how far outside its window the frame sits, so a deep painted frame keeps the window's buttons clear.
- Fixed: a window panel drawn with its own fill colour (fillRole) ignored fillAlpha. Now the player's Panel opacity always applies and fillAlpha makes the fill that much fainter on top of it. New alphaMul art option for the same thing anywhere. Nothing in the family used these yet.

LICENCE
- Plugins and addons that work alongside NetherUI stay welcome, but changing NetherUI's own files in any way (by hand, by script or with an AI) is not allowed. See LICENSE.txt, section 2. The same applies to NetherUI_Media in this download.

NETHERUI_MEDIA 2.0.32 (IN THIS DOWNLOAD)
- Font and sound roles for the whole Nether family, chosen in NetherSuite > Fonts & Sounds and kept for your account. Every role starts as each addon's own, so nothing changes until you choose.
- New fonts (SIL Open Font License, licences in Fonts/): Atkinson Hyperlegible and Bold, Alegreya Sans and Bold (Latin, Cyrillic, Greek), Barlow Condensed SemiBold, PT Sans Narrow (with Cyrillic).
- Six new sounds made for the family: Chime, Bell, Ping, Horn, Sparkle and Knock.
- The new fonts and sounds are registered with LibSharedMedia when it is loaded, as "Nether ..." for other addons (WeakAuras, Details...).
- provenance.json lists every font and sound file with its source, licence and checksum.
- For addon authors: NetherMedia:ResolveFont, :PlayRole, :SetFontRole, :SetSoundRole, :ApplyPreset, :Muted and :OnChange (see Roles.lua).
