v12.1.5
What's new
v12.1.5 — August 21, 2026
New: Built-In Addon Manager
Nem: UI Swap no longer requires SimpleAddonManager or an external manager to swap your addons. It now includes a full standalone addon manager. Press Escape and click AddOns to open it in place of Blizzard's list, type /nemaddons (or /nemset), or click the Addon Manager button in the options panel.
Blizzard's default addon list remains intact; untick Escape menu AddOns button in settings if you prefer Blizzard's original menu binding.
Addon sets are account-wide and pair directly with your PvE and PvP configurations:
- Build and manage sets. Tick addons to include them in the active set and enable them immediately. Use Load Set to match an existing set exactly, or Snapshot to capture your currently running addons.
- Lock addons. Locked addons remain enabled across every set and mode.
- Search and details. Search by addon name, title, or author. Each row displays the addon icon, title, load-on-demand badge, and dependency status, with full details and author info in tooltips. Missing dependencies are flagged clearly by name.
- Pending changes and safety. A live count tracks pending toggle changes. Save & Reload commits your changes, while Cancel discards uncommitted toggles made during the session.
- Full localization. Every string, tooltip, and dialog in the Addon Manager is fully translated across all 11 supported languages.
Categories
A sidebar organizes your addon list using custom categories alongside six automatic groups: Enabled, Disabled, Active, Uncategorized, Locked, and Changing this session.
- Select multiple categories to stack filters, or combine them with search to narrow long lists quickly.
- Right-click categories to rename, delete, or toggle all member addons on or off.
- Right-click any addon row to assign categories or toggle locks.
- Optional views in the header allow toggling Blizzard internal modules and addon-declared category groupings.
SimpleAddonManager Import and Text Sharing
- Automatic import. On first login, existing SimpleAddonManager sets, categories, and locks import automatically without modifying SimpleAddonManager's saved variables. Existing swap targets pointing to SimpleAddonManager convert to native Addon Sets automatically.
- Text import and export. Export any set to a shareable string via the set menu, or import strings directly. The string format is fully compatible with SimpleAddonManager in both directions.
Addon CPU Profiling
Monitor addon performance directly within the manager:
- Per-addon CPU. The right-hand column displays each active addon's share of CPU time, tinted to make expensive addons obvious at a glance.
- Performance strip. A summary bar across the top shows current, average, and peak addon CPU usage.
- Turn both on under the gear menu (WoW begins measuring following a reload).
New: /nemswap restore
If a swap leaves your addons in an unintended configuration, type /nemswap restore to restore the pre-swap addon state and reload immediately.
