New Addon — Nem: UI Swap
Nem: UI Swap is a one-command master switch that flips your entire interface between a PvE and a PvP configuration. Type /NemPvE or /NemPvP to swap directly, or /nemui to open the options panel.
A single swap can:
- Switch your addon set. Drives an addon-set manager — such as SimpleAddonManager — to load the matching addon set for the mode, without an extra reload of its own.
- Switch addon profiles. Flips any addon that stores its active profile in a saved variable to its matching PvE or PvP profile.
- Apply per-mode CVars. Sets values such as UI scale (0.65 for PvE, 0.80 for PvP), friendly nameplates, and the built-in Damage Meter (off in PvE, on in PvP) to match the mode.
- Activate an Edit Mode layout. Loads the named Edit Mode layout you've paired with each mode.
Each swap stages everything, then asks you to reload — one click and your whole interface flips at once. If you trigger a swap during combat, it's queued and applied automatically the moment combat ends.
Minimap Button
A minimap button shows your current mode at a glance — a shield for PvE, crossed swords for PvP. Left-click toggles between the two modes; right-click opens the options panel.
Options Panel
Open the options panel with /nemui — or find it under Settings → AddOns → Nem: UI Swap. It's organized into four tabs:
- Addons — your addon-set and addon-profile swaps (e.g. SimpleAddonManager), each with its PvE and PvP value.
- Settings — your in-game swaps: CVars such as UI scale and friendly nameplates, plus Edit Mode layouts.
- Swap Option — define a new swap. Pick a type — a CVar, an addon profile (any saved-variable path), an Edit Mode layout, or an addon set (SimpleAddonManager) — and the form adapts to your choice: the field label and in-box example follow the type, and the value field steps aside for the types that take their name in the PvE/PvP boxes. For an addon profile, a Find addon picker detects your installed addons and fills the path for you, automatically matching how each addon tracks your character — by name, or by character ID as addons like EnhanceQoL do — so the swap actually applies and one entry follows you across all your alts. For a CVar, a Common CVars picker offers twenty of the most-swapped PvE/PvP settings — grouped into Nameplates, Camera & Input, Interface, and Performance — and loads the one you choose with its name and a recommended value shown as a faint example you can adjust; the suggestion is only saved if you leave the box blank. Hovering any entry explains what the CVar does and its suggested values, and reminds you when a nameplate addon like Plater might override the setting. The Use current buttons grab your live setting straight into the PvE or PvP field, so you don't have to look values up by hand. Once filled, click Add Option and the swap files itself onto the right tab.
- Guide — a built-in quick-start: what the addon does, the three steps to add a swap, and what each swap type is for, so you don't have to remember how any of it works.
Apply PvE and Apply PvP sit in the button bar at the bottom of every tab, alongside a Status button that prints your current setup to chat and a Minimap Button toggle that shows or hides the minimap icon. The Apply button for your current mode dims, so the active profile is obvious at a glance. Everything is saved per character, and the panel uses the same font and class-colored accent as the rest of the Nem addons.
