Added
- Wishlist · A new Wishlist tab, beside Shopping List, for the gear you're chasing.
- Star anything · Every piece of gear you can wear on NeedRoll's loot lists has a star after it. Click the empty star to add the item to your wishlist, and click the gold star to take it off again.
- Overview · Four boxes up top show how many items you've wished for, how many of them drop in dungeons and raids, your best run and how many come from other sources. Below, your dungeon and raid drops are grouped into runs, best first: each run shows the chance that at least one of your items drops in a single clear, and each item shows its slot, the boss that drops it and its drop chance. Items that several bosses drop list them all, like "Garr, Gehennas, Shazzrah +2", with their combined chance per clear. Everything else is grouped by where it comes from: quest rewards, Collections, crafted, PvP vendors, faction vendors, and items NeedRoll doesn't know a source for yet.
- Details · The whole list as a table with Slot, Item, Source, Where, Chance and Owned columns. Click any column header to sort by it (click again to flip the order), and use the source chips to show only drops, crafted gear, PvP rewards and so on. Owned ticks show what this character already has, worn, in the bags or in the bank, and update as your bags change.
- Go straight to the source · Hover an item to see every place NeedRoll knows it from, and click it to open that boss, recipe, quest or vendor page. Back brings you to your wishlist.
- Several lists · Wishlists are saved account-wide, so every character sees them. The menu on the list's name switches between lists and makes a new empty one, renames or deletes one. Save preset copies the current list under a new name, handy for keeping a PvE set and a PvP set side by side. Clear list empties the current one.
- Import from sixtyupgrades.com · Paste a sixtyupgrades.com export into Import and NeedRoll previews what it found before adding it, as a new list or in place of the current one. You can leave out the shirt and tabard.
- Share a list · Export gives you a short share string to paste in chat. Anyone with NeedRoll can paste it, even the whole chat line, into Import to get the same list.
- Settings page · The cogwheel beside the search box's "!" opens a full Settings page in place of the tabs. Back, right-click, Escape, the cogwheel again or any tab returns you to where you were. Its General settings are:
- Window style · Modern or Native.
- Text size · Normal or Large. Large draws the whole window a third bigger, text, icons and spacing alike, so every page lays out exactly as it does at Normal. It's sized so the smallest window still fits a 1280x800 screen like the Steam Deck, and on a screen too small for that it draws as large as fits. You can also type /nr text large or /nr text normal.
- Minimap button · Shown or Hidden.
- Map in dungeons · NeedRoll or Game: which map the map key opens inside a dungeon (see below).
- Turn tabs off · The Settings page's Modules list has an on/off switch for every tab: Dungeons, Raids, PvP, Factions, Collections, Professions, Shopping List and Wishlist, each with a line about what it holds. A tab that's off disappears from the top of the window, stays out of search results, isn't built at all, and turning Wishlist off also hides the stars on loot lists. Shopping List needs Professions, so it switches off with it and comes back when Professions does. One tab always stays on. Your choices are saved account-wide.
- The dungeon map opens on your floor · Inside any dungeon or raid NeedRoll has a map for, pressing the map key (M) opens NeedRoll's map on the floor you're standing on instead of the game's map, and pressing it again closes it. Opening NeedRoll for the first time after zoning in does the same. While the map is showing, it follows you as you move between floors.
- Getting to the game's map · An "Open the world map" button sits at the map's bottom left. Back (or right-click) from the map goes to that dungeon's Overview, and once more opens the game's world map.
- Prefer the game's map? · Set Map in dungeons to Game in Settings and the map key opens the game's map as before.
Minor
Changed
- Boss ranks from WoW: Forever · Whether a boss is elite or rare elite now comes from WoW: Forever's own data instead of Classic's, so bosses that are there every run, like Edwin VanCleef, no longer show as rare.
- Easier to read loot lists · The grey lines under item names (slot, type, boss) are drawn a little smaller than the names, so the name stands out, and item icons are taller, running from the top of the name to the bottom of the grey text.
- Drop chances and vendor prices use the latest Wowhead numbers.
