Easy to use addon built on working methods of bbp and bbf addons. An easier way of customizing your in game name plates for World Of Warcraft
MyNamePlates is a lightweight nameplate control addon that replaces the scattered Blizzard nameplate options with a single tabbed panel — one tab per nameplate category — and adds a handful of quality-of-life indicators on top.
## Features
- **A tab per category** — Friendly Players, Friendly NPCs, Friendly Pets, Guardians, Totems, Minions, Enemy Players & NPCs, Enemy Pets, Guardians, Totems, Minions, and Minor (Minus). Each tab has its own master toggle, scale slider, and opacity slider.
- **Per-NPC checkboxes** — Six categories (Pets, Guardians, Totems, Minions, Minor, and their friendly mirrors) show a checklist of player-summoned NPCs. Untick to hide a specific summon's nameplate while keeping the rest of the category visible.
- **Auto-discovery** — New summons are classified on first sight (Wild Imp, Demonic Tyrant, Capacitor Totem, Psyfiend, Earth Elemental, Statue of the Black Ox, etc.) and dropped into the right bucket automatically. A hand-curated starter list ships with the addon.
- **Manual add** — Target or mouseover a unit and click "Add Target / Mouseover" (or `/mnp add`) to force it into a category if auto-classification guessed wrong.
- **Target arrow** — Optional arrow above your current target's plate.
- **Healer indicator** — Green cross on friendly healers, red cross on enemy healers in PvP.
- **Cleaner summon names & auras** — Custom name and aura labels for pets, totems, guardians and minions that stay visible off-target in arena, where the default UI fades them.
- **Combat-safe** — Any CVar change made in combat is queued and applied on `PLAYER_REGEN_ENABLED`.
## Slash commands
- `/mnp` — open the settings panel
- `/mnp add` — add current target/mouseover to its category
- `/mnp reset` — reset all options to defaults
Aliases: `/mynp`, `/mynameplates`.
## Compatibility
Built for retail (Interface 120005 – 120200, WoW Midnight). Works alongside BetterBlizzPlates, ElvUI, and Plater — MyNamePlates only touches Blizzard nameplate CVars and its own frames, so it does not fight other nameplate addons for control of the plate visuals.
