Space Cadet Pinball

A port of 3D Pinball Space Cadet as a World of Warcraft retail addon. The simulation was translated from the SpaceCadetPinball decompilation project and aims to be faithful to the original, including its physics, scoring and bugs.

Features

• The full Space Cadet table with missions, ranks and the original sounds and music.
• A high score board that records your achievements.
• The demo mode where the table plays itself (hopefully not better than you).
• A battle mode that strips the window down and maps the flippers to your movement keys, so you can play during dungeons and raids.
• Multiball, which was left disabled in the original game, can be enabled in the settings.

Installation

Copy the addon folder into Interface/AddOns and enable it on the character screen. Open the table with /pinball or the minimap button.

Controls

• Left and right Ctrl operate the flippers (movement keys work too).
• Space pulls back and releases the plunger.
• Left and right Shift bump the table from the sides.
• Left and right Alt bump the table from the bottom.
• F2 starts a new game.

Commands

• /pinball toggles the window.
• /pinball new starts a new game.

Credits

3D Pinball Space Cadet was developed by Cinematronics and published by Maxis and shipped with Microsoft Windows from Windows 95 to Windows XP. This addon is a fan project and is not affiliated with any of these companies. The port is built on the SpaceCadetPinball decompilation project, which did the important work of rebuilding the original game as readable source code. The translation to Lua was heavily AI assisted.
