Mount Button
One key for the mount you want right here: your flyer where you can fly, your fastest ground mount where you can't.
Press the key and you're mounted. Mount Button reads your bags, knows which mounts fly and which are fastest, and puts the right one on a single button. The rest of your mounts are one hover away.
Made for The Burning Crusade Classic, Anniversary realms. Works for every class, with no other addons needed.
Features
The right mount, by itself
- Flying where you can fly. In Outland and on the Isle of Quel'Danas, outdoors, the button carries your flying mount. Everywhere else it carries your fastest ground mount.
- No false flyers. It goes by the continent you're on, not by the game's flyable flag, which this client gets wrong in places like Orgrimmar. Indoors, or before you have the riding skill for your flyer, you get the ground mount.
- Nothing to set up. Mounts are read from your bags and ranked by the riding skill they need (75 / 150 for ground, 225 / 300 for flying). A new mount is picked up the moment it lands in your bags.
Your choice, when you want one
- Ground mount and Flying mount dropdowns: Fastest, or the one mount you like to ride. Saved per character.
- Drag a mount onto the button to make it the choice for its kind. Dropping a flyer never changes your ground choice, and the other way round.
- Pin anything else. Drop a spell or any other usable item on the button and it takes the button over both choices.
/mb cleargives the button back to the pick. - Switch off Pick one for me if you want the button to carry only what you put on it.
The rest of your mounts
- Hover the button and a row of your other mounts opens: one line for the flyers and one for the ground mounts. The line closest to the button is the same kind as the mount on it.
- Click one to summon it. The row works in combat too.
- It opens up or down, whichever suits where the button sits.
The button
- A key binding of its own: any key, a mouse button or the mouse wheel, set on the settings page. It's an override binding, so it doesn't take a slot on your action bars.
- Place it anywhere (
/mb unlock) and set its size and opacity. - Cooldown sweep, with optional cooldown numbers, and an optional key label on the button.
- Greyed out while the mount can't be summoned (indoors, in combat, too low a riding skill), and faded if the mount on it has left your bags.
- Hide in combat if you want it out of the way during a fight.
- An empty button stays on screen, faded, so there is something to drop a mount on. You can hide it instead.
Settings
- Every option is in one window: type
/mb, or press Open settings on the addon's page in the game's AddOns options. - Pick the language, or let it follow your game client.
- Reset puts every setting back to its default and the button back to its starting place. Your pinned mount and key binding stay.

- English
- German (Deutsch)
- Hungarian (Magyar)
- Croatian (Hrvatski)
The addon starts in your client's language. You can switch language in the settings window.
Notes
- The button is a secure action button, so it can't be moved, shown or hidden during combat. Changes you make in combat apply when the fight ends. Mounting and the hover row work as normal.
- If the game hasn't sent a mount's tooltip yet, the mount is treated as a ground mount until it does. You still get something you can ride.
- Already using the Shadow Priest addon? It has this same button built in, so you don't need both.
