  • Changelog for 0.3.1
  • Close the login window where ATT can still speak
The re-apply was armed ten seconds after login, on the reasoning that
AllTheThings needed time to finish loading. A quest handed in during those ten
seconds was announced in chat before the mute landed, which is how a collection
report survived a session that was in quiet mode the whole time.
A fixed delay cannot be right in either direction: too short and their profile
is not applied yet, too long and every login carries a window of noise. So the
mute goes out at PLAYER_LOGIN and retries itself while AllTheThings cannot yet
answer, up to eight times over a few seconds.
Not being quiet and AllTheThings not being ready look identical from here, so
both paths retry. For somebody genuinely not quiet that is a handful of table
    lookups that change nothing.
  • Re-apply the mute list at every login
The list was applied once, on entering quiet mode. So adding a key to it did
nothing for anybody already quiet: their profile kept whatever the list said on
the day it was created. The chat report keys added in bb21ff4 were never
written for exactly that reason, confirmed by reading the profile back off disk
and finding Report:Collected simply absent while MinimapButton was false.
Quiet mode now converges instead of writing once. Every login, if the ATT
profile is ours, the list is applied again. It only ever writes into our own
profile, and only values it already intended, so it stays a no-op for anybody
whose profile is already in line.
  • Silence the chat reports too
Quiet mode muted celebrations and the removal warning but not the collection
reports, so "X has been added to your collection" kept scrolling past with the
profile on. They are a separate family of settings and were simply absent from
    the list.
Report:Collected, CompletedQuests, UnsortedQuests and DeathTracker gate the
printing, not the tracking. AllTheThings still records everything it always did
and stops narrating it, which is what was actually wanted.
