A major update since v1.3.4!

This release brings significant improvements to equipment recommendations, weapon scoring, specialization support, paired weapon-and-shield comparisons, and overall interface quality.

The goal is to make ForeverGear more accurate, easier to understand, and safer when recommending equipment changes.

Major New Features

Complete Weapon & Offhand Comparisons

ForeverGear can now evaluate equipment combinations instead of comparing every weapon individually.

Compare two-handed weapons against one-handed weapon and shield combinations.

Compare one-handed weapons with equipped or bagged shields and offhands.

Evaluate the combined weighted score of a weapon and its accompanying shield or offhand.

Display current equipment setup scores against proposed setup scores.

Show the total improvement or loss from changing the complete setup.

Include Armor, Stamina, Attack Power, Spell Power, weapon DPS, and other supported stats.

Account for the weighted value of an offhand that would be removed when equipping a two-handed weapon.

Support paired comparisons for compatible classes, not just Paladins.

Paired equipment changes remain manual-only.

Main Spec & Offspec Equipment Intelligence

Improved specialization-specific recommendation calculations.

Fixed cases where valid weapons were excluded because of the active Main Spec's weapon preferences.

Fixed paired equipment recommendations disappearing when switching a specialization from Main Spec to Offspec.

Added independent paired-equipment evaluation for Offspec builds.

Offspec can display manual setup comparisons even when a proposed combination has a lower weighted score.

Improved labels distinguishing verified upgrades from items requiring review.

Removed duplicate weapon recommendations caused by evaluating the same weapon in multiple equipment slots.

Improved Weapon Scoring

Increased the default leveling Retribution weapon-DPS weight to better reflect the importance of weapon damage.

Improved recognition of one-handed weapons as valid manual recommendations.

Fixed incorrect empty-slot comparisons and missing equipped weapon information.

Improved manual weapon-slot validation.

Added weapon DPS and damage differences to equipment comparisons.

Added weapon-speed analysis when the game client provides usable item data.

Added explanations for weapon-speed considerations involving Paladin specializations.

Added warnings for special effects and weapon procs that cannot be accurately scored.

Improved recommendations when weighted stats disagree with a substantial weapon-DPS increase.

Weapon recommendations are still marked Needs Review when the complete combat impact cannot be verified.

Pawn Integration Improvements

Improved support for using Pawn item values in dashboard recommendations.

Added specialization-aware Pawn scale selection where matching scales are available.

Improved handling when a matching Pawn scale is unavailable.

Preserved built-in scoring when Pawn is disabled.

Maintained support for existing custom stat-weight profiles.

Automatic Loot Rolling Completely Removed

ForeverGear no longer automatically rolls Need, Greed, or Pass.

Removed automatic loot-roll decision handling.

Removed automatic loot-roll confirmation behavior.

Removed inherited auto-roll settings and controls.

Added safeguards against old saved auto-roll preferences reactivating the functionality.

Loot decisions are now entirely up to the player.

Important Notes

ForeverGear uses weighted equipment evaluations to help identify potential improvements. Weighted scores are estimates, not simulations of actual combat performance.

Weapon speed, special item effects, class talents, and certain custom server mechanics may not be fully represented in a score.

Weapon swaps and multi-item equipment combinations require manual review.

Automatic loot rolling has been completely removed.
