MidnightGather

MidnightGather remembers every herb and ore node you gather and marks it on the world map and minimap. No bundled databases, no farming routes — the map fills up with your finds as you play.

Features

🌿 Automatic recording — successfully herb or mine a node and it's saved instantly, with its real name (works in any game language). Supports Midnight Herbalism and Midnight Mining as well as all older expansions' gathering.
🗺️ World map pins — herb and ore icons exactly where you found them. Hover for the node name and how often you've gathered it; right-click a pin to delete it.
📍 Minimap pins — nearby recorded nodes appear around you on the minimap, correctly handling zoom levels, indoors, and rotating-minimap mode.
🔁 Smart merging — re-gathering a respawned node updates the existing pin instead of creating a duplicate (merge distance configurable, 5–30 yards).
📤 Import / Export — copy your nodes as plain text and paste them to another character, or share them with friends who use the addon. Importing merges safely with what's already known.
⚙️ Options panel and minimap button — everything is a click away: pin toggles, merge distance, data management with confirmation dialogs.
🏰 Open-world only — the addon fully disables itself in dungeons, raids, arenas, battlegrounds, and delves. Zero overhead in group content.
🪶 Lightweight and self-contained — no libraries, no dependencies, ~1000 lines of Lua.

Usage

Gather as usual — pins appear on their own.

regular UI for configuration is available in Parameters menu - Modifications
/mgather — options panel (also: left-click the minimap button, or Options → AddOns → MidnightGather)
/mgather export / /mgather import — share window
/mgather stats — how much you've mapped
Right-click a world map pin to remove it

Node data is stored per character; settings are account-wide.
