🇳🇴 Midnight Men På Norsk

Midnight Men På Norsk is a Norwegian translation addon for World of Warcraft: Midnight.

The goal is not to replace Blizzard’s user interface, but to translate content directly where it already appears. The addon adds a Norwegian language layer across large parts of Retail WoW while keeping the original UI and functionality intact.

What does it translate?

Midnight Men På Norsk currently covers an expanding range of game content, including:

• Spells and abilities
• Spell descriptions and tooltips
• Item names and item text
• Quests, objectives and descriptions
• Epic quest rewards
• Mythic+ and affixes
• The Great Vault
• Dungeon and Raid interfaces
• Group Finder
• PvP
• Professions and recipes
• Food, flasks, weapon oils and other consumables
• Currencies
• Reputation
• Character interface
• Mounts
• Toys
• Delves
• Various parts of Blizzard’s standard UI

Translations are written and curated by hand, with the goal of making the Norwegian text feel natural within the Warcraft universe rather than relying on simple word-for-word machine translation.

Translation Center

The addon includes its own Translation Center, where you can view and customize translations.

Custom translations can override the built-in ones if you prefer a different Norwegian name, wording or phrasing.

Samband

Midnight Men På Norsk also includes a built-in communication system called Samband, which allows compatible versions of the addon to detect and communicate with other MPN users.

This is used for addon-to-addon features without requiring manual configuration.

Compatibility

The addon is built around Blizzard’s default interface, but also includes compatibility work for several popular addons.

Support has been added for, among others:

• Kaliel's Tracker
• Baganator / Syndicator
• Toy Box Enhanced
• MountJournalEnhanced

None of these addons are required.

Performance

Midnight Men På Norsk translates a large number of UI elements, but is designed around caching and targeted refreshes to avoid unnecessary work.

The addon also includes its own diagnostics and profiling tools used during development to identify expensive operations, bugs and potential performance issues.

Beta

Midnight Men På Norsk is still under active development.

This version is a beta, so some parts of the game may still:

• remain fully or partially in English
• be missing translations
• receive improved translations in future versions
• behave differently after Blizzard updates

If you find untranslated content, awkward wording, incorrect translations or UI elements that behave strangely, feedback is very useful.

Version Names

Each major version of Midnight Men På Norsk is named after a Norwegian city.
