Midas – Auction House Market Analysis

Midas is an auction-house price tracker and market analyzer. It runs its own full AH scan and stores every price permanently – you build a real price history over time instead of the rolling 21 days most tools keep. No Auctionator or other addon required.

The same download runs on both – Midas detects the client automatically.

What it does

• Start – today's market at a glance: the best buys and sells, the movers since yesterday and an opportunity ranking (margin × liquidity × confidence).
• Watchlist – your shortlist, shared across all characters. Sort it into named groups, or browse every item your scans have ever touched.
• Charts – full price history per item with a selectable timeframe, an offer book of every current ask (cheapest first, running supply total) and optional price alerts that ring when a scan reaches your limit.
• Net Worth – gold, items and running auctions across every character on the account, split by category and tracked over time.
• Trades – reads your auction mail and keeps a profit/loss ledger: net P/L, fees, sell-through, and per item whether your listings were priced too low, about right or too high.
• Help – how every number is calculated, with worked examples.

At the auction house

• Midas Scan button for a full scan (server limit: about one every 15 minutes)
• Offer book docks to the AH window while you browse or sell
• Sell helper lists the items in your bags with the best sale first – click one to load it into the sell slot
• Tooltip chart – hovering an item shows its price history right in the tooltip

Shared scan data

Midas users in your guild or group – and, on Classic Era, nearby players at the auction house – exchange scans automatically, so you still get useful prices on days you didn't scan yourself. This runs over WoW's hidden addon channel: nothing appears in chat, and players without the addon see nothing. Turn it off in the Settings tab or with /midas share off.

Getting started

1. Install Midas and log in (tick Load out of date AddOns if needed).
2. Open the auction house and click Midas Scan.
3. Type /midas or click the gold coin on your minimap.

New installs start with a short get-started tour and a starter watchlist of ~80 proven trade items. Already using Auctionator or aux? Midas imports their price history at first login.
